I love how the yellow-clad Augie students keep chanting, "Jenny Craig! Jenny Craig!" or "East a salad! Eat a salad!" every time that Corey Muchmore goes to the FT line, when it's obvious that most of those guys have never missed a meal themselves.

And none of them have scored 19 points (so far) tonight! ;D

Augie up 11 w/ 38 seconds to go - I think we can safely INK in another CCIW team to Salem. 8-)

It's now a final, Augie by 13, 77-64.

Augustana 77
Hanover 64

This one came down to a combination of dominance on the boards (48-35) by Augie and really terrible FT shooting by Hanover (15-29, 52%).

Augustana Vikings, coaches, players and fans.  Congratulations big time!  After disappointment 2 years ago and then not making it last year (go figure), I for one am utterly amazed on this return to the Final Four and happy for you guys.  Coach G and men, you deserve all accolades.  The CCIW faithful are proud of you.  Keep it rolling to Salem!

Congrats to Augie on the win and the trip to the final four.  Williams upsets Middlebury, so they will play the Ephs in Salem.  Can't say enough about the job Coach G has done with this program.  To lose the top 6 scorers from last year's team and then make it to the Final Four is absolutely remarkable.

While the game was close almost throughout, Hanover's ONLY lead was 2-0!

What a fantastic run for this rather young Augie team.  Can't wait to see them in Salem next weekend!

Nobody can deny that, that's for sure. This is just about the ultimate example of the "reload, rather than rebuild" cliché.

Congrats to Augustana on their ticket to Salem.  Their defensive effort was thrown around on the board last night and it was pretty good once again, aside from Hanovers struggles from the line.  Thus far for the tournament they have held each opponent under their seasons scoring avg and this weekend in particular, both teams to combined avg of 14.5 pts under their season avg.  IMO that is getting it done.

Congrats to Juwan Henry on the All-Star game.

And, congrats to Augie on their Final Four run.  Keep it going.  Good for Augie and good for the CCIW.

Congrats to Augustana on an impressive run through the first 4 rounds and a trip to Salem.  Final Fours are really big deals and to get there twice in the last 3 years is very impressive.

I think Augie will be very hard to beat in Salem - the Vikings don't really have a weakness as I see it.
