Well, I don't think I can be considered a Weenie fan secret or otherwise. But, since there has been so much talk that IWU should be ranked above Augie, I figured I'd make the side doing the complaining happy even if the D3Hoops poll voters wouldn't.

I'd say the discussion has consistently been around the large gap between Augie and IWU in the poll...not that IWU should be ranked higher.  Just that for the last several weeks the disparity in poll points/ranking has not made a lot of sense.

And perhaps I'm wrong, but I don't think any IWU fans are unhappy with where the Titans are ranked.  It's just a polling discussion on anchoring and what else would explain that gap.

@NCCBasketball  - NCC will have to battle some adversity tonight and for the rest of the year... News to come later tonight #d3h #Tear

I'm hearing this tweet is related to Erwin Henry...but I can't confirm that.

Mr. Ypsi

The officiating in Rock Island tonight would have to improve to be called terrible. ::)  I don't think it has been one-sided, but this game may take 3 hours and be finished by cheerleaders and random people pulled from the stands!  With more than 8 minutes left in the half, BOTH teams were already in double bonus, and each had been T'd up.

Augie has been up by 10-12 most of the half.  With all the whistles, neither team can get any rhythm going.

Mr. Ypsi

At the half, Augie 41, IWU 35.  The officials are still passing out FTs like Halloween candy.

That's one very ugly half of basketball.  No flow.  When do you see both teams in the double bonus with 8:07 remaining in the first half.

IWU shooting it poorly, AC playing great tight D.

At the half:  AC 41 IWU 35.

29 fouls (16 IWU / 13 Auguie) and 2 T's (one on each side). O'Neil and Burdine both have 3 for IWU while no Augie player has more than 2. Will be interesting to see when someone picks up their 5th. IWU cut the lead from 13 down to 6 with a 3 at the buzzer.

Mr. Ypsi

The men in Rock Island and the women in Bloomington started at the same time.  The women's game is over (IWU wom 99-70); the men have not yet started the second half.

Hey, zebras, all those people in the stands came to see basketball, not to see you! :o

Millikin 80
North Park 63

Colin Lake: 22 pts, 6 rebs
Matt Szuba: 17 pts, 4:1 a:to
Billy Kirby: 6:3 a:to

Zach Fisher: 23 pts
Michael Beaty: 14 pts, 3:1 a:to
Elijah Henry: 13 pts, 6 rebs
DeVante Harrell: 6:0 a:to

Nothing much to say about this one, other than that NPU is just too plain easy to defend and can't stop anybody at the other end.

This was NPU's best chance to get another CCIW win. Barring a big upset, they won't get another one.

North Central, despite missing Erwin Henry tonight, edges Carthage at Tarble, 79-75.

Big surprise of the night:

Carroll 90
Elmhurst 60

The win for the Pios wasn't the big surprise, but the margin of victory certainly was.

They let a 3 point shot count for 7 points?  Wow, even the scoring official is terrible!

It was taken from Moline....

They were up 13 with 2:22 left in the first half and cut to 6 after scoring other points in the final 2 minutes and then hitting the 3.

Great game in RI.  Down to the wire.

And announcers that I can enjoy listening to.
