Mr. Ypsi

While I of course hoped for the contrary, I'm not at all surprised that Wooster won.  I AM surprised that Wooster won despite Brady going off for 31 points! :o

Titan Q

Wooster 72
IWU 68

* Brady Rose: 31 pts
* Alex O'Neill: 11 pts, 14 reb
* Colin Bonnett: 11 pts, 4

IWU just couldn't consistently get enough stop or rebounds during the middle 20 minutes or so of the game.  Wooster took control during that stretch and IWU could just never quite get back to even.

The Titans out-rebounded Wooster by 12 in the 2nd half, which helped. But offensively the Titans just never really had a great flow in this one.  And that is a credit to Wooster's defense...which is really good.

These were two very even teams...the team that executed better over 40 minutes came out on top.

Titan Q

A disappointing end to the season for IWU.  Definitely a lot to look forward to next year as everyone except Jaylen Beasley and Tyler Burdine return.

Isn't it a disappointing end to the season for everyone except one team?  ??? ;D :D :P

You can't fall into as deep a hole as NCC fell in the first half against a defensive-minded team like the Pointers, because you'll never have enough time and energy to work your way back. The Cards played a much better second half, but they never got the UWSP lead down into single digits in the latter stanza.

The Pointers did a great job of making Sorenson a non-factor at the offensive end.

I can't remember the last time a CCIW team lost a tourney game by that much. (Edit: Eventual national champion UW-Whitewater beat Augie by 19 four Marches ago.)

Stevens Point went on a 12-0 run fairly early in this one as the Cardinals committed too many early turnovers. Like Greg said, too big a hole.

Augie lost to Hope too. Anyone have the CCIW all bounced immediately?

Augie didn't lose to Hope. Auggie (i.e., Augsburg) lost to Hope.

Augie plays Greenville in about a half-hour from now.

Now 18-4.  Since the Titan women's game is on, I'm only following this one on livestats - has the jacket been flung yet?! ;D

Gregory Sager

No, but when it comes off he's going to fling it up on top of the gondola.

Is anyone else having trouble with the live stream of augustana/Greenville? It keeps freezing and it's not my internet, I tested it.

I've been having some trouble. Seems to work best in Chrome.

I've been on my iPhone, iPad and chrome book and can only get a few seconds live. Here's to hoping I can see it on demand later.
