My guess is that it's likely that we'll still have two sons playing for their fathers in this league next season. Connor Raridon comes back for a fifth year for North Central, and I suspect that Brady Rose of Illinois Wesleyan will be replaced in this category by Jacob Schauer, who is currently having a solid senior season at Wheaton North, playing for his dad two miles to the southeast in King Arena.

I can unequivocally  confirm such will be the case.

Yep, no mystery associated with this one. 🤗
During a pre-game chat on 2/9 Mike Schauer "confessed" to me that Jacob would be a member of next season's Wheaton squad.

I believe he's going to have to work a little harder than Brady did to get the same kind of playing time, though.  (Not that Brady didn't work hard, but you know.)

In that vein, let's just hope that some disgruntled Wheaton dad doesn't show up on this board raking Mike Schauer over the coals because he thinks the coach is favoring his son over other guards --without revealing that one of those overlooked guards happens to be the not-so-good son of Mystery Dad.

There has been a pretty crazy run of coach's kids in the league - Stevie D., Connor and Derek Raridon, and Brady Rose all 1st Team superstars.

In Fort Wayne I talked to Coach Schauer a bit about Jacob. I think it's fair to say Jacob Schauer won't come in with the ceiling of the guys listed above...but rather w/ the potential to be a real solid player for the Thunder.

Gregory Sager

Yes, I've heard the same thing. Think "Mitch Raridon" rather than his little brothers Derek and Connor.

Pretty sure this action alone is an automatic reveal.

Clicking through the Jacob Schauer news took me to his twitter feed, where I discovered this and found it to be highly entertaining.

Since they liked this so much, we clearly need to introduce these sportscasters to Double-G...
