* Keondre Schumacher: 26 pts, 5 reb, 3 assists
* Grant Wolfe: 19 pts, 2 assists
* Pete Lambesis: 16 pts, 2 reb, 3 assists
* Doug Wallen: 13 pts, 5 reb
* Charle Bair: 6 pts, 11 reb

Kind of like a word problem Q? No score for IWU so you made me add up the individual point totals to see if IWU won. I see at least 80 pts here so safe to conclude they squeezed this one out.
Nah, Q pulled a Mr Ypsilanti and made you work for it  ;D :o

NCC ADDITION

NCC basketball players Connor Raridon, Matt Cappelletti, and Aiden Chang have acquired a new roommate.
6'8" Andy McLaughlin, a member of Augustana's 2016-2017, and 2017-2018 teams, who also attended Augie last year but did not play basketball, has completed all the necessary paperwork and has enrolled at North Central where he will be a member of the 2019-2020 Cardinal team. He will have two years of eligibility remaining. 🏀

Is 6-8 Andy McLaughlin not at NCC any longer? I noticed he hadn't played in the first two games, then looked at the roster and he's not there - https://northcentralcardinals.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster.

I was thinking he'd factor in quite a bit this year off the bench.

Andy, his family, and everyone at NCC also thought Andy would be be a factor from the get-go, and not necessarily off the bench. They, in fact, believed that the situation would be resolved at the conclusion of the summer, before the fall term began. However, the reality is that this particular transfer is is taking an inordinate amount of time to resolve. You have the transferor, the transferee(s), and the interested 3rd party. I'll let readers decide who's who. The 3rd party has requested various forms and documents. To the best of my knowledge, everything requested from Andy and NCC has been submitted. I do not know if such is the case with the other party. If they have also submitted everything that was requested, it's difficult, at best, to comprehend why the situation hasn't been resolved by now. If they haven't, one must wonder why. I don't know what information, forms, and/or documents might still be outstanding so I can't comment further.
But yes, Andy is still at NCC and attending classes. He is still "with" the team but can't practice or play until the transfer is formally approved. Why that hasn't happened yet, or whether it will be, is truly mysterious.

In Millikin's exhibition vs. Bradley, Zach & Calvin Fisher both participated. Against Chicago, Calvin played, but Zach didn't. In the Rhodes Tournament over the weekend, neither played a minute against either Rhodes or LeTourneau. They both remain on the roster.
Anyone have any info as to what accounts for their missing in action? Being Millikin's two best players, it seems odd not to see them on the floor.

After watching some of the Millkin/Chicago game I posted here that one of the MU broadcasters said something like, "Zach Fisher is out for reasons unrelated to basketball and hopefully will be back later in the season."  Whatever that means.

I haven't heard anything about his brother Calvin and why he missed the games in Memphis.

Carthage up 27 to 19 at half.  Johnson and Kedrowski with really nice first halves. Something is wrong with the scoreboard so no individual or teams stats are displayed.  Flynn sat most of half with two quick fouls.  Oshkosh had a horrible shooting half both from the field and the line.  If they shot 25% from the field I would be surprised.

I had pretty much the same summary written up of the first half.  Carthage pulls it out in Kenosha, 64-57

Carthage  64
UWO 57

Kedrowski  20  8-14  4 Reb
Bulatovic  10  4-7
Baltimore 9  4-8  Fouled out with about 4 minutes to play.
Washburn 7  3-4
Johnson 6 3-7 with 9 boards
Perry had 6 as well.

Carthage was 26-59, UWO was 19-67 (4-28 beyond the arc)  Oshkosh won the boards battle 53-38

Flynn played 18 minutes (foul trouble all over) and scored 17 points

Not to take anything away from this win, but Laketa needs to improve his shot selection and decision making.  He came off the bench and immediately launched a 26 foot three that barely drew iron.  Did the same thing again later in the first half.  Finished 0-4 from 3, with 2 more turnovers and 4 fouls.

IWU 78
Chicago 74

* Charlie Bair: 10 pts, 12 reb
* Grant Wolfe: 20 pts, 3 reb, 3 assists
* Keondre Schumacher: 18 pts, 2 reb, 2 assists
* Pete Lambesis: 15 pts, 3 reb

Lambesis, Wolfe, and Schumacher all scored huge baskets for IWU down the stretch.  Charlie Bair is a beast on the boards - what a weapon for the Titans.

Big road win for IWU.

Ultimate Titan Fan

IWU went big this game, with both Bair and O'Neill. Maybe to counter-act the size UC had on our guards. Or maybe just to see how it worked. It was a lot of fun. And there was enough time to switch over to the Carthage game and watch the exciting end of a huge game. Great night!

Get to 78, win the game.  Good road win for the TITANS.  Glad to see the top three scorers doing so well, a perimeter game.  Titans off to a good start.
