Mr. Ypsi

IWU comes back and survives.  Can't recall the precise score, but I think they won by two.

Illinois Wesleyan 76
Millikin 74

The Titans kept opening the door in the waning seconds by missing free throws, but the Big Blue couldn't walk through it. Down by one with the shot clock turned off, the Big Blue were working the ball into the left block for a close-in final shot, but outright muffed a two-foot pass. MU fouled immediately after the turnover, and IWU made one of two FTs at the other end. In the last few seconds, a Zach Fisher trey attempt from the left corner that also would've won the game was too strong, allowing the Titans to escape with the win.

* Luke Yoder: 11 pts, 2 reb, 2 assists

Millikin played great tonight.  IWU trailed by 13 at halftime and never had a lead until 5:50 in the 2nd half, when Cory Noe made a 3.

The Titans did just enough things to grind this one out and head north with a W.

CCIW Player of the Week Matt Leritz with another nice game for the Titans.  Having him in there, healthy, is big for IWU.

Augie got a nice road victory at Wheaton tonight. Wheaton always gives the Vikings a challenge, so good to get a critical road win.  Final 79-68.

Exciting game at Millikin tonight. The Titans couldn't buy a 3 in the first half. I like to see their game percentage. The home town announcers making fun of Leritz’s mustache. A but juvenile.

iwu70

Ultimate, agree with you on the guys making the call tonight in Decatur.  Just childish.

Titans dodged a bullet as MU play very well, have some shooters.  Leritz with another nice outing.  Yoder playing steady.  Big big game now vs. Augie.  Gotta keep winning, hopefully geting to 18 or 19 wins.

Surprised by EC's loss tonight.

I attended all NPC home games during my undergraduate career.  The top two opposing conference players were "Stunning" Wayne Dunning and Blaise Bugajski at that time.  Millikin and IWU, respectively.
Once a metalhead, always a metalhead.  Matthew 5:13.

Elmhurst, Augustana and North Central  Have over .700 no mater how they will do in the CCIW tournament.

Still have to play them but the top 3 control their destiny.

Big Blue was tough last night against the green weenies. They got a nice player in Troy Burrows.

If those two teams happen to tie for first place... which team would host the tournament?

Or what if there's a three-way or four-way tie?  If head-to-head results and best record against #3, #4 (and so on) still result in a deadlock, then what are the remaining tiebreakers?
