Coincidentally, IWU and Augie will be meeting in both the men's and women's tourneys at exactly the same time (the men in Naperville, the women in Wheaton).  I'll be rooting for the Titans in both locations, of course, but have much more confidence in the women winning than in the men.

Both the Titan men and women win, and the men actually won more decisively - their one point win was in regulation rather than due to a Viking brain-fart in OT!

Q, don't worry too much.  TITANS in the second half tonight -- 12-12 from FTs.  :)

Cory Noe is money.

Best game of the year for Lambesis.

Great win.

Best game of career for Lambesis.  Titans found way - several ways actually - to stay in the game and pull off a W at the end.

* Pete Lambesis: 28 pts
* Cory Noe: 17 pts, 4 reb, 2 assists
* Matt Leritz: 11 pts, 4 reb

* Austin Elledge: 19 pts, 4 reb
* Micah Martin: 19 pts, 6 reb
* Pierson Wofford: 15 pts, 8 reb, 3 assists

A terrific effort by the Titans tonight.  Sophomore Pete Lambesis was the best player on the floor tonight; sophomore Cory Noe was clutch down the stretch; sophomore Matt Lertiz hit the biggest shot of the game.

IWU got big plays from just about everyone in the rotation.  I thought Alex O'Neill was great tonight, and Bernie Coderre made a couple huge defensive plays.

Big-time win for the Titans.

It's good to see Wesley Hooker on the floor for Elmhurst. He broke his wrist back in mid-January, said he'd be back in time for the CCIW tournament ... and here he is.

Glad you mentioned Alex.  I thought he was terrific - valuable minutes which just do not always make the score book or stats.  The two seniors are not ready to play last game!

Refs are taking over the NCC Elmhurst game.
How do you call a flop when if he didn't move back he eats Raridons elbow to the chin.  Heck if Raridon missed his chin it wasn't by much!
I hate when the refs take the enjoyment out of a game especially if you just want to enjoy a good game.

Dang. My boy is letting me down. Kevin Jackman, whom I think is a really good broadcaster, just made a cringe-inducing confession that he wasn't aware that there are two different kinds of technical fouls, as he was trying to sort out what was going on with regard to why some T's were getting two shots and possession and others just one shot in this T-happy Battle of the Suburban Songbirds tonight.

... aaaaand now a Cardinal who has played all of 22 minutes on varsity this season has just been assessed a T-bone for yapping at the officials from the end of the bench.

This is wild.

A T fest.  Strange, chippy game EC vs. NCC.

We had some of those games last year in the CCIW mens.  But I thought the games I watched during the playoffs last year were refereed about as good as they could be.  I hope the playoff refs are as good as last year.

iwumichigander

Chippy yes, but Elmhurst came out at half time on fire.  NCC just plodding and the ball just bouncing for the Bluejays

Are those flash cameras in the hangar or what are those flashing lights?

#4 seed over #1 seed.
#3 seed over #2 seed.
An interesting night in the CCIW tournament.

IWU vs. EC for the AQ, on a neutral floor.

Here we go TITANS!  :)

Bluejays just wanted this one more. They played with a lot more fire than the Cardinals did.

Jake Rhode (25 and 7) was the man tonight. Connor Raridon (18-10-6:1) did what he could, but it wasn't nearly enough.

Yeah, our photographer I think has his camera hooked up to some lights set up in the gym for backdrop. Or something like that, but the answer to your question is basically yes.
