* Ragen Shein,  6-7 F (Rocky Mountain College/Helena HS, MT)

Looks like his path since HS has been...

- 2016-17: Montana Tech - https://godiggers.com/news/2015/8/25/MBBALL_0825153608.aspx
- 2017-18: Chandler-Gilbert Community College - https://www.njcaa.org/sports/mbkb/2017-18/div2/players/reganshein5j9a
- 2018-19: Rocky Mountain College - https://gobattlinbears.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster/ragen-shein/2445

In 2018-19 at Rocky Mountain College, Shein played in 21 games (started 2) and averaged 13 minutes, 4.9 ppg, 3.7 rpg, shot .440 FG, was 0-8 from 3.

I believe he has only used 2 years of eligibility in those 3 stops, so will be a JR at Augie this season.

Ragen Shein is not on the 2020-21 Augie roster.

Also missing - Jacob Pauley, Carson Frakes.

North Park is playing everybody in the league except for Millikin, but only five of the other seven opponents will be played in the traditional two-game home-and-away format, and all ten of those games will be Thursday/Saturday pairings (aside from the first, which is Saturday/Monday) in which the Vikings face those opponents twice within 48 hours. NPU will play singletons against Wheaton (@ King Arena) and Elmhurst (@ the crackerbox), both on Tuesdays.

The weirdness of this schedule means that on Saturday, February 13 there will only be three games instead of four.

This is how I see the CCIW MBB race at this point:

1 Illinois Wesleyan
2 Elmhurst
3 North Central
4 Wheaton
5 North Park
6 Carthage
7 Augustana
8 Millikin
9 Carroll

My IWU/Elmhurst decision is heavily influenced by Jake Rhode's injury and the uncertainly around that.

iwu70

Q, thanks for all the details on returning players.

Your ranking looks about right to me.  EC would be #1 with Rhode.

Sure hope we can have a season . . . with no major Covid issues.

I see all the IWU athletes coming back on campus these past few days.  The Quad a mess with many damaged trees from the ice storm, the ice-encased city of Bloomington/Normal.  No big thaw yet.  Everyone back -- at least those students and faculty who are coming back -- on January 13th.

Stay safe and well, all CCIW chatsters.

Both of the Binion brothers announced on Twitter last April that they were transferring, and they are thus not on the 2021 NPU roster..

I read on the main d3hoops site that all nine teams will play in the conference tournament. Any idea what the schedule will look like? Will this tournament even work with conference testing protocols and one team potentially playing four different teams in a week?

Is there any word on whether all of these games are scheduled for 7:00 pm, as per usual, or whether Elmhurst might still have some 4:00 "matinees", and, finally, who has plans to livestream or not? It's a slow day at home today and I'm trying to get my viewing schedule all lined up.

I know for NCC, all of the weeknight games are 7pm tips, and their Saturday games are all at 2pm except for the Wheaton game on 2/27, which tips at 7pm. Haven't checked anyone else's really. And to my knowledge, I believe the NCC games will stream; not sure about anyone else but I'd be surprised if they didn't.

NPU is streaming all home games, both men and women. In fact, I'm going back behind the mic for the first time in ten and a half months this coming Sunday afternoon to work a scrimmage for the Viking men against Millikin. It's my opportunity to get a first look at the 2021 Vikings (Hey, a bright side! We don't even need to hyphenate the basketball season this year!), as well as to work out the broadcasting kinks and see if I still have my Charcoal Delights, Mark Mackey Insurance, and Jimmy's Johns ad scripts memorized. And I may or may not have a new color guy to break in.

I am beyond excited to finally be doing what I love again. I'll bet that Lucas feels the same way.

Lots of information dropped yesterday and today. Predetermined sites confirmed. Bids now open to hosts those sites. Host locations to be announced the week of February 8th. The return to championships manual is lengthy one with 40+ pages of protocols.

So where might we find or see this information?

It's been 328 days since my last #THREEEEEEEEE call. Not that I've been counting or anything. :P

It'll be weird to see an empty airplane hangar, but I'll take an empty one with basketball being played over not at all.

Greg, will NPU have the games online? (sorry if this has been addressed already).
