Not true. It's a UW System/MN thing.  Lady Dawgs of UWSP are recruiting in MN with earnest.

The Minnesota – Wisconsin Tuition Reciprocity Agreement allows residents of one state to pay in-state tuition rates at public universities in the other state. This agreement applies to ALL public institutions in Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Exceptions are the Medical College, the Dental College, and the Veterinary College.

You're just a little late, Chicken. This topic was already covered.  ;)
Also, if you're going to post about the LADY Dawgs, better to put it on the Women's board.

Earnest? Is that one of their Assistant Coaches? 😉

IWU RECRUIT

Micah Meiss, a 6'4 SG from El Paso-Gridley HS has committed to IWU. He was coached by his dad.

MILLIKIN RECRUIT

Eli Stipp, a 6'6 PF from Kankakee HS has committed to Millikin. Other offers were from Aurora, Illinois College, and North Park.

Gregory Sager

According to his coach, Trine, Wabash, Benedictine, Illinois Tech, and Eureka were also after Stipp.

Yes, I knew there was at least one more because Stipp himself had mentioned he had 5 offers (with Millikin being #5). With the ones Gregory mentioned, that would have been 9. With lots of the sources of info about recruits some sources no doubt count a contact/discussion by a school as an "offer." It's certainly a possibility that he had 9 firm offers, but also that he had "only" 5. No matter because 5 offers is still pretty darn good. Bottom line here seems to be that MU is adding a guy with a very high degree of potential to its lineup.

The term used by Kankakee High boys basketball's X account -- not simply a mere "source" but the actual social media account of the Kays boys hoops program, and therefore presumably controlled by the coach -- is that Stipp was "recruited by" those nine schools. Make of that what you will. I'm comfortable with using the description that they were "after" Stipp. I don't see the need to delve into semantics regarding these schools' pursuit of the kid. This is, after all, D3, where such matters are nebulous.

nebulous bordering on trivial, trite, and trifling.
