On any given night, any given team can win.  A few years ago, no one thought that Maryland would beat top-ranked Duke for the ACC title, and it happened.  Having faith in your team is what it's about.

Go Cards.  I believe in you.  And, besides everyone thought it was going to be a two game lost for NCC.  So.... Go Lady Cards! A 67-51 win over the Titans.

Carthage was once up by 17 over Hope.....their season seems to have crashed in front of my eyes.

Some of you have seriously underestimated how good a coach Raridon is. Let me bring you up to speed, this guy would regularly win the conference against schools that could offer athletic scholarships. Nebraska Wesleyan is a D3 school in a conference full of NAIA programs and his teams pretty much dominated.

Wow!  What a game and what a conference!  Congrats to North Central on an impressive win.

I managed to catch the end of the Titan/Cards game online, and Bob seems to be giving a lot of credit to Raridon and his preparation/game plan for this game.  I am not sure whether we underestimated Raridon, or simply hadn't seen enough of his coaching to evaluate, but it sounds like he knew what he was looking to accomplish in this game, and his team went out and did it.  Congratulations Cards.

Cabs---what are the percentages IWU goes unbeaten in the CCIW now?    ;D :D

just messin'

Milliken 82
Elmhurst 75

Dansler the Big Blue's FR PG absolutely made us look silly with 35 points. Martin had 27 points. We came out flat and cut it to 2 with 5 mins left and couldnt come any closer. This loss really hurts. We got out worked on the glass by a much smaller team. They just out hustled us. Congrats to NCC, I was a doubter with what seemed to be like an easy non-conference schedule.

Congrats to NCC and their posters. Good win.

I found it odd that of the three Midwest Region voters, North Central actually got more respect in the Top 25 outside of the conference. Guess that will change.

ahhh  Milliken is blowing Hope's nice SOS index.   >:(

.......now seriously doesn't it just seem silly that Millikin beating Elmhurst hurts Hope.  Its just silly. :-X

Mr. Ypsi

By the way I was predicting the CCIW, Millikin over Elmhurst may actually be the bigger upset tonight!  (Prior to tonight, I had E 3rd and M 7th!)

BTW, I don't recall that we ever did a CCIW standings prediction.  I'll go with:

IWU
NCC
Augie
Elmhurst
Millikin
Carthage
Wheaton
NP

[Specific numbers ONLY if this catches on!.]

I have a question to test some memories out there.  A few years ago, Carthage was the powerhouse of the conference and lowly North Central beat the Redmen in Kenosha on the first night of the conference season.  What was Carthage's final conference record?  And didn't North Central pull another upset on opening night another year, too?

Hats off to North Central.  They came in and executed their game plan with a lot of grit.  I agree with something Coach Trost said after the game:  this is not the same team that we saw play the first ten games.  I hope this is the last time we see the team that played tonight.

GREAT win by the Big Blue at Millikin tonight.

Freshman PG Drew Gensler (Mt. Zion)--WELCOME TO THE CCIW!

Millkin's frontcourt simply out-worked and out-hustled Elmhurst.

A huge statement was made tonight by Millikin.  It's too bad IWU had to lose
to North Central tonight, or we could have had more talk about the Big Blue!
