3 upsets today.

With this conference, I'm not sure you can call anything an upset anymore.

It can't be said enough.....what a conference.

Standings:

                      Augustana      10-2
                      IWU                  8-4
                      Elmhurst           8-4
                      NCC                  7-5
                      Wheaton           5-6
                      Carthage          4-7
                      Millikin               3-9
                      North Park        2-10

Like I said , a lot of shaking going on!  An unlebievable conference.

IWU was up by 15 at the beginning of the second half.  Wheaton shoots 9 of 17 from 3 point land...IN THE SECOND HALF.  IWU had 15 turnovers to 12 assists.  Wheaton outrebounded IWU 34 - 20.

Hurts even more with Augie losing.

Tonights happenings are sure going to shake up the QOWI and the Pool C outlook.  Man.  Way to take care of business Elmhurst!  3 Top 25 teams lose in the CCIW tonight.  Things are always interesting thats for sure.
Go Elmhurst!

It sounds like the last shot at Millikin was right at the buzzer, possibly after the clock was at 0.00.

The refs called it good.  Curious to hear from people at the game who had a better look.

Even if it was after the clock expired, Augie needs to step up and win these games.

Wheaton is surprising this year. With everybody graduating, a lot of poeple counted them out and they have had some huge games this year.

Is April ok?  I thought for sure we would have heard from her after the Augie game...for sure after this IWU game.

Was at the Augi game... Both teams played tough...

Augi tied it with 4.7 seconds. Keanon Harrington went end to end, missed a lay up and it was tipped in. It looked like the ball was tipped in AFTER the red light went on behind the backboard. It was close however I think Augi may of gotten the short end of the stick..

Big Blue player very very tough throughout the game! Great game in Decatur!!

I heard the same thing...thanks for the update.  That's a tough call and once you make the call, the refs just need to get out of there...at least they made the call for the home team so they didn't get killed on their way out.

It was definately a tough call. After Augi made the basket with 4.7 left they were very late getting back on defense. The Big Blue player missed the wide open lay-up which was later tipped in after the light went off. None the less... Great game in Decatur!

Tonite solidified that the CCIW is overall the best conference in d3 (WIAC is very down this year; UAA claims for #1 ring a bit hollow); unfortunately, it also reduced our chances of getting 3 teams into the tourney!

Augie is probably still safe for a C if they don't win the A; IWU is now iffy, though they would probably still make it IF they win out before the tourney); NCC is now VERY iffy; Elmhurst was already dead for a C (though they would deserve it); no one else has any chance.

I believe that rule has been changed again.....the red lot does not matter now.

Someone will have to look into that.

Great balance from Carthage. Like I said after their game at Augie, they've got a lot of talent. There's no way they should be below .500.

Whether the shot may have been late or not, Augie should not be in that situation against a team that had won 2 conference games and had lost seven in a row by an average of almost 12 points. No excuses. Terrible. I feel bad for complaining about a team that has clinched at least a share of the regular season title, but they just constantly play to the level of the competition (and in the last two games--below the level of the competition).

However many teams we get in the NCAA tournament, the pressure is really going to be on after all the talking we've all done about the league. If at least two don't make a deep run, and the way the big boys have been playing lately, I'm not sure that's a given, I think it'll look like just a lot of hot air.
