incidentally, not to create even more work for you, but I would be curious to know what the record is when you don't could all the 1-1 games from when we have played eachother...

even cooler would be a list breaking down our playoff history against each conference, but that would take even longer  :D
Wait, dunks are only worth two points?!?!!!? Why does anyone do them? - diehardfan

The CCIW is 7-6 in third-place games, both on the regional level and in the Final Four.

CCIW teams have squared off in the tournament nine times.

Yeah, it'd take awhile. Maybe I'll do that sometime in the next few days.

So that's 83-36 in "real" tournament games against non-CCIW opponents.  That's pretty amazing.

I wonder how the WIAC stacks up in that regard?

Or 90-42 in real tournament games against non-CCIW opponents, without the scare quotes.  ;D

The WIAC is 84-30. They have the best tourney winning percentage of any league in D3. The CCIW is second.

Time for the mysterious "personal appt" that is keeping me out of the office for the rest of the day.  :D

Good luck to Augie and IWU, but not that much luck to IWU.  ;)

Greg and I have this friendly feud going on over what counts as a tournament game.  He says the regional third place games count because the NCAA says they do, while I contend that its not a tournament game if the winner can't advance.  Before you all weigh in, let me remind you of two things:

1) When is the NCAA ever an accurat measure of reality?

and

2) Pat agrees with me.

Hoops Fan,
Does that mean the championship game doesn't count?  ;D

Ryan Scott (Hoops Fan)

Oh, I was waiting for that question, because the champion does advance, they become the champion, which is one step ahead of "tournament finalist."  It's a cop out, but it works semantically.

I heard that there are only bleachers on one side of Alexander Gym.  Does anyone know if that is true?
