Q, aren't you the heartthrob of the Titan nation?  :)

At 34, I think I am too young to qualify.

Heck, Robert Redford is still too young to be a heartthrob for Titan Nation!

Q, if it makes you feel any better, my wife refers to you as the "cute Wesleyan radio guy" at games.  She is 16 years older than you though, so maybe you are big in that 45-50 demographic.

Of course, now that I think about, maybe she was referring to Art.

Q, Your modesty is quite becoming.

iwu70, I think we'll have to wait at least one more change in generations before Dennie Bridges relinquishes the title! ;)

(Or, considering all the jokes about the age of Titan Nation, maybe two more generations!  Unless, of course, Scott Trost both wins this year AND sticks around forever and keeps winning) ;D

You can't be a heartthrob when you are young enough to be their son! :D

Titan nation must be a bunch of senior citizens whose grandchildren live Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Orlando, Tampa and Atlanta!  ;D

Anyone noticed that the odaconline.com final four cite lists IWU at 24-6 overall and 9-5 in the CCIW...???  Did I miss a non-conference loss?  Are they counting the game against Illinois?

Jim Matson

The loss against Wheaton was counted twice.  Hmmmm.

The 6th loss was the loss against North Central in the CCIW tourney championship game.

Thanks for the clarification TitanPride...I knew I must have missed something.

IWU70: if you will think back a few years, you will remember from the posts here, that Q is only the heartthrob of Randolph Macon and Carthage students... a demographic he is arguably too old for! :D

so ladies, you'll get to see Division III heartthrob Dave McHugh

Exactly how many ladies post here? Martie, bluemom, Hoosier Titan, and me?
{edit} and keelan's stalker! :D ;)

I don't need to watch Dave on TV, I get to see him in person!  :-* :D :P ::)
Remind me to introduce you to him when me meet though, Ms Hoosier Titan! :D

Q, what's important is being young in spirit.

iwu70

diehardfan, I do remember Q's former glory from that 2001 Virginia jaunt.  I think he under-estimates himself and now that he's going back on the national stage with a more mature look, heck, the sky is the limit.  I have to argue for "being young in spirit" as I've started to read student applications, grade research papers of students in my seminars who were born AFTER I graduated from IWU.  It's pretty sobering.  With that group, the Vietnam War is a set of distance historical images.

I'm sure Q knows that youth is wasted on the young, though in his case, as it relates to basketball, his youthful skill is also accompanied by great basketball wisdom and respect for the traditions of Titan basketball.   Rubbing elbows with Art must have had that result . . .

diehardfan

Are you sure that was 2001? I could have sworn it was my senior year spring break that I went down to RMC for that game.

I have to put myself in the category of people who are like you students... I was born LONG after Vietnam. But if it makes you feel better, I find it pretty sobering that people, who were born after the Gulf War started, are in high school now!

I swear, time passes quicker every year. ???

diehard, I'm sure YOU are right on dates.  Young minds handle those things better.  It was a Sweet 16 loss for the Titans, last year for Kasten, Silagi, Camardella . . . all that group.  You will, likely, see some of those great players at Salem this weekend . . . . . along with Coon, Crabtree and  Jack Sikma, of course.

Hope all the Titan and CCIW fans and supporters have a fabulous and safe time in Virginia this weekend.  Really wish I could be there.
