So no talk about the All-Region team yet? Is anyone else as suprised as I am that Keelan is on the second team?

In all seriousness...it's kind of hard to argue against Chris Martin and Chris Braier.  I'm guessing, from what I've heard in past posts, Martin might have gotten CPOTY had Elmhurst won the conference.
A bigger surprise is Simmons on the 3rd team.  Simmons was voted a unanimous CCIW 1st teamer by the coaches.  No way should he have been any lower than second team.  The SID's didn't do a very good job with in their voting this year!

Just because he was unanimous first team All-CCIW doesn't mean he is automatically better than any of these All-Midwest Region forwards:

F     Chris Martin     Elmhurst     Sr.     Eureka, Ill.
F    Chris Braier    Lawrence    Sr.    Wauwatosa, Wis.
F     Keelan Amelianovich     Illinois Wesleyan     Sr.     Naperville, Ill.
F    Larry Welton    Aurora    So.    Chicago, Ill.

Your only shot is Welton.

Pat, I've seen all the forwards listed play.  He is definately better than Welton.  Martin and Amelianovich are not post players.   Simmons is more talented than Braier, however Braier is a harder worker.  FWIW, Amelianovich wasn't a unanimous 1st teamer in the CCIW.

Re:  Amherst

I remember talking to an Amherst fan two years ago and they don't travel very well.  I recall Williams having a ton of people there and asked the Amherst fan where all of their fans were since Amherst and Williams are geographically close to each other.  She said that support for Amherst isn't nearly the support for Williams.  I would guess there were 300 or so.  Besides, it doesn't really matter how many tickets each school is allotted since, unlike regionals or sectionals, there are plenty of tickets available at the Civic Center.  :P

Simmons is also better than Freeman and every bit as good as Hinz!

I agree with Cardinalpride.  Simmons should definately have been no lower than 2nd team and I think if he had the same stats and was the same player on IWU he would have definately been 1st team.

Does anyone know where to find the IWU fight song on the internet?  It used to be available at iwu.edu, but now I can't find it.

It's literally tomorrow morning but it's fiscal tonight. :)

LOL, fiscal tomorrow... That's great!  I hope you don't have that copyrighted, 'cause I'm going to use that (and I'm pretty sure I can't afford the royalties).

Titan32, they had a CD done of all the IWU related songs, fight song, Alma Wesleyana etc., in several versions.  If you can't find it on the web, best to write to Alumni affairs folks to request the CD.  Former President Minor Myers was big big on historical preservation and archival work, so he had many such things done/made.  Check with Mary Bible or Steve Seibring in the Alumni Affairs office.  Hope you can find it.  I hear the IWU pep band is going to Salem too -- they are, in their cohort of bands, candidates for the national championship, too -- in my humble view.  Great sound, should fill up the Salem Civic Center very well!

Per ESPN.com, "Outside the Lines: The Little Dance" will air at 12:40am CST(tonight/Thursday am).  There is a picture of Adam Dauksas and Keelan Amelianovich in the promo for it.  If I'm reading the ESPN TV listings right, it will run again in the morning at 5:40am and 6:40am on ESPN2.
