One note on the IWU coaching search...

IWU A.D. Dennie Bridges is in Lincoln, Nebraska until Wednesday - he's on the national committee for the Division III men's golf championship.  It's probably not likely that anything will be announced until late this week.

The field is narrowing, some prime candidates are now opting out.....more money to stay home persuades, not as much flexibility in the opening as some would like (assistants, etc.).  Perhaps this top job in D3 is not all it's cracked up to be, there are some downsides!!

That happens with a lot of jobs, not just this one.

And with all the questionable redshirting that goes on in the CCIW, I'd say that Tharp will stay where he is. Easier to sign players to big contracts in the MWC because you rarely if ever see any redshirting. So MWC teams can front load, or back load, player contracts as much as they want because that 5th year is always considered "off budget". Not so in the CCIW.  :D  ;D  :D

Nice try, but no!

However, there are many NBA players with eligibility untapped or unfinished.  I say give the job to anyone who can GUARANTEE that they will bring along Shaq, Kevin Garnett, LeBron, etc.

What the hey - you can always fire 'em once the player's eligibility is gone! ;D

I haven't had one yet that didn't have a downside.

I meant that coaches often pull out of the running on jobs.

Coach Raridon to IWU. Just heard it today from a very reliable source over in the next cubicle. Raridon spoke to his team today and made the announcement today.

My son, and I, appreciate what he has done for our institution. You are getting quite a coach down there.

NCC dad, not sure what rock you crawled out from under, but the NCC Alumni nation would appreciate you not spreading lies on this site about our program.  We also would appreciate if you took your BS elsewhere!   >:( >:( >:(

I think that you're responding to a rather clever piece of trolling, cardinalpride. Note the name and the e-mail address of the person to whom you responded. Also note that this person mentioned that he heard the news from someone in "the next cubicle" -- at midnight at the end of a weekend.

Someone was clearly having a laugh at the expense of our friend Augiedad.

I hear Raridon is NOT taking the IWU job.  Great news for Cardinal fans!
