Thanks to Titan Q for his great preseason summary on the CCIW programs. I was interested to see Q thinks Matt Pelton might get some court time at Augie. I know nothing about him, but if he's good, I'm surprised IWU let him get out of town to head to the QC. The only Augie freshman I have seen is DeKalb's Kyle Waller, who played in the Upstate 8 and was very good (All Conference) in that very competitive BB conference. In fact DeKalb is no longer in the Upstate 8 starting this season.

By the way has Augie scrimmaged anyone as yet? Getting info over the internet from the QC about Augie is not easy.

I do know it's about time for the regulars to make their preseason predictions. I think after picking NCC 1st, it's going to be hard to pick the order of the rest of the conference. Also do not forget the Pickem Board once the season starts next weekend.

Actually, from what I heard, it came down to Augie for basketball and Illinois State for football for Pelton (he was an outstanding quarterback). Supposedly, he's been very impressive during the pre-season. I've also heard that 6-7 sophomore Chandlor Collins has come along nicely and should be in the mix with Rorer and Rose at the 4, or I suppose in a smaller lineup, backup Dain.

Anyone know where and at what time the NPU v Dominican scrimmage is tomorrow?

Actually it's the preseason 2006-07 team. :)

Force of habit. It's like writing checks with "2005" on them during the first few weeks of January 2006.  ;)

You still write checks? Hey Greg, 1993 called and they want their method of payment back! ZING!

Hey Saturday Night Live called and they've politely asked that if you are going to repeat lines from their sketches that you would choose ones that were actually funny.   BURN!!

I'm kind of amazed (and a little giddy) about the lack of respect Wheaton's being given pre-season by a couple of you guys (Rob I expect it from you, they'll always be picked last in my book too).  I figured with Raymond back (regardless of what his supporting cast looks like) the Thunder would be picked top 4 by everyone.

Thanks - I assume then that non-student visitors aren't welcome to watch.

That's a good question, and I don't have the answer.  I know the front desk staff is being very conscientious about checking student/staff IDs, so I don't know how that will impact the scrimmage.  If you are in the neighborhood, stop by and see if you can gain admittance.
