I have read the posts regarding North Park's effort in their loss to Millikin tonight.  It's still hard for me to believe that the Vikings lost by 13 in overtime.

Naperick

Can anyone explain North Central's 6 game winning streak over Wheaton?  Is it just one of those things that happen?

Another BIG road win for Augie...got to see this one in person....the Vikings again played outstanding defense and held a 12 point lead with 9 min left.  When the Jays made their run to close within 2 with 2 1/2  min to go,  Augie clamped down and forced several turnovers and made shots down the stretch to secure their second road CCIW win.  I was really impressed the Vikes and how aggressively they play on defense.  Each player plays within himself and knows his role on the team.  Augie again took care of the ball and had only 8 or 9 turnovers for the game.  Makes me wonder how far this team could go and...what if we had Delp playing???

Big following for Augie was nice to see as well!

Suddenly Augie's come from behind win Wed at the Shirk Center looks huge.
If the Vikings lose that game, they're in second place tonight and IWU is leading the league (after the Titans win over the Red Men)  So many very good teams in this league.  With six to go, Augie/Carthage/IWU/Elmhurst and Wheaton all are alive.  Come on Augie...keep it going this week at the Carver Center...there can be no letdowns!!!

You really shouldn't even give up 13 points in a 5 minute overtime period.

Augie's defense was impressive.  They do all of the little things that winning teams do.  I think they surprised Elmhurst with some quick changes and the Bluejays did not adapt many times.

I think Augustana is a very talented team without Delp and they seem to be in a nice groove right now.

Lots of Vikings fans at Elmhurst tonight.

I'll give it a try Naperick-----

1. Its the Karma. NCC has been able to brew up the right kind against WC.    8)
2. As Mr. Sager aptly suggests, the nemesis factor. Todd Raridon seems to have Coach Harris' number.
3. Over the last 3 years, the Thunder may have had the brightest single star, but on a position by position match up basis, they simply have not had as strong a team as have the Cardinals.

Last Wed Chris Childs doesn't play a minute for Elmhurst in an OT win against NCC. Sat night he starts, plays 27 minutes, and scores 2 points on 1 for 6 shooting in a loss to Auge. Whats up with that EC fans?

Prior to the conference part of the schedule various posters analyzed the CCIW teams. One pretty constant factor when talking about Augie was the fact that Swetalla would have to play to his potential for Augie to reach their full potential. In conference games through tonight, he is only 18th in conference scoring. Furthermore, tonight's box shows he didn't even start. Puzzling.

Augie fans-----has he played up to his potential? If not, whats wrong?

I see the IWU-Carthage Box shows that Justin Anthony started for Wesleyan tonight in the place of Travis Rosenkranz. This can't be true---Can it? Is Rosenkranz injured again?
