1st team All American and not mentioned still pay the same. So I doubt Raymond is worried about it. I'm sure he's more concerned with Whitworth at the moment.

I don't keep up with the CCIW that much but I don't think anybody questioned Wheatons qualifications for being in the tournament. One more Pool A upset and they might not have been, but they made it. Their success is a testament to the quality of D3 ball in this region.

And think of the record Wheaton could have had this season if they didn't have to play IWU and North Central. Goes back to what Roop says about the quality of D3 ball in the region generally and, more specifically, in the CCIW.

I've just started a "Hope Sectional" thread in the Great Lakes Region.  Let's try to move most of the Wheaton - Whitworth - Hope - OWU talk to that common location.

Wheaton lost 1 game outside CCIW play.

Congratulations to Augie for another great season. There is no shame in losing to a quality team like Wash U., the preseason number 1 and a FF team from last year. Both teams battled through the loss of key players early in the season to make it the tourney. Augie just came up short on the offensive end without Delp to help Wessels put points on the board. So again no shame just a lot of disappointment at how close this team came to moving on last night.

A top flight perimeter recruit would help next year Titan Q, but it's hard to do that when IWU keeps beating out Augie for prize recruits. Let us have one this year, as you folks got your fair share last year. The CCIW should be better than ever next year with so few key seniors graduating.

Good luck to Wheaton in carrying on the tradition of tourney excellence for the CCIW. Any team with Ken Raymond is a threat to win any game.

I would hope any player still playing is focused on their next opponent. Doesn't change what I said.

IWU and Augustana are going head-to-head for recruits this more than any year I can remember in a while.  The next 30 days are going to be interesting.

I am honored to be the catalyst for TQ's 4,000 post, and despite my much lower number of posts he is not nearly as old as I am. By the way TQ who are the targeted recruits for Augie and IWU?

Hello to the CCIW's.  Whitworth is looking forward to play against Wheaton.  Wheaton is such a good program and was gracious enough to invite us to their tournament last year, and yes we did win in a fantastic battle between our conf. Player of the year (Bryan Williams) and Raymond.  Fortunately, we have another Conf. POTY in Ryan Symes this year.  Should be a real battle.

In our win against Oxy, I felt Oxy had only 1 real offensive weapon and maybe 2 others that could on a good night.  Does Wheaton look to Raymond every possesion and settle for another option or do they have some other offensive weapons?

Apparently too busy to post his milestone post in the little used "best attendence" board though! lol  :D...if you're getting up there in years...well then I'm afraid how old I actually am since I'm nearing 6000.  ::)

I guess we should be careful with the age thing lest Mr. Ypsi's pacemaker short circuits!
