Either way, it will be tough for Wheaton - both programs feature a nice inside game.

The Ohio Wesleyan/Hope game is getting sloppy.  Some bad shot execution by both teams.

I'm thinking of driving up to Hope for tomorrow nights game.  Anyone interested in car pooling from Wheaton?

From what I've read, be sure you have tickets!

If Delp returns as projected, I don't think there is much doubt he and Wessels will be the starters. With Delp being a pure shooter, I think we'll see Wessels at the point, with Pelton as the top backup there. Therefore, any newcomer should only be the 3rd option, at best, on the point. Watching and learning, rather than playing, will likely be the activities that player will engage in most often during the course of the next season.
I don't know what you've been watching or hearing, but that will NEVER happen---Delp will swing over to the 1 before that happens

I like Wheaton's chances in a rematch.  Wiele and Jahns (who was huge tonight by the way) will make a big difference, and hopefully this time when Raymond is fouled it will be called.  No matter who wins, it will definitely be a great one.

Just wondering, since Kent Raymond didn't play his sophomore year, and has one year of athletic eligibility left after this year, is he planning on playing, or is he planning on graduating with his class?

He hasn't publicly made a declaration yet, but the general consensus among people connected to the Wheaton program is that this is his last season.

Although my understanding is that Wheaton posters, if they can't get to Kent directly, are raising funds to bribe his instructors to flunk him in some required course. ;D

The person whom they should be bribing is the former Wheaton basketball player, whose name I will keep anonymous, who has offered Raymond a job that would start after he graduates in May. ;)

Tonight was the first time I saw Raymond play live, and he obviously lived up to the hype. By my count he only missed three shots, and one a long heave to beat the shot clock. He doesn't look that spectacular, but he's strong, he's fast, he knows how to finish, and he can flat out shoot the ball. Very impressive. My guess is he'll be holding the DeVos floor scoring record for quite some time.

Bob, you and Pat did a fine job tonight.

Does Milsaps have any change against Wash U/BV?

Thanks -- and you bet Millsaps has a chance. They'll take care of the ball better than BVU did and will be just as deep and more athletic.

Where they'll struggle is trying to body up against Ruths in the paint. BVU had some success in that regard because of its size, bodies that Millsaps can't replicate.
