EGR vs DCD, seems fitting that these two met for the final yesterday.  Shouldn't that happen every year?
There's only two things I hate in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures and the Dutch.

Amazingly, after 73 years of Hope and Calvin playing dodgeball, the series remains tied, with only .023 nhpg (nerds hit per game) difference.

This is truely the most amazing stat in the series especially when you consider how many more nerds are usually on the Calvin rosters. :P

Ah, yes,  Calvin.  The ones that aren't nerds are academic All Americans. :D

:D  I think I know what your referencing here.....

Which made Cedarville and Bath winning the C and D titles very refreshing.  But especially Cedarville, I always find myself rooting for the UP teams when they make it to Breslin.  Cedarville became the first UP team to capture a 'D' Championship since 1972, and first overall since Negaunee won the 'C' title in 2000.   I also pull for the Northern mitten teams to.........some of the travels those northern teams make to get to Breslin in unreal.

Bath was the first Lansing area school to win the 'C' title since 1954, unless you count Olivet in 2005 (which I don't, its borderline).  Also one of the few non-city of Lansing schools to do so, and only the 6th non-private C Champion in the last 25 years.

Learned something I did not know and thats that Ed Douma won back to back Class C titles in 71 and 72 with Shelby............also interesting that in those same two years the toweled one Bill Frieder was winning back to backers at Flint Northern.

No more basketball for me for awhile :(

i was at the holland blast game and they announced on april 6 at halftime they are going to have a calvin vs hope dodge ball game at half time  students

The leagues over in cheese-loving Wisconsin are more apt to tout their fkhpg (fat kids hit per game) totals.

I heard that a Hope dodgeballer once pegged an Alma nerd so hard that it ended up on YouTube. ;)

Paul and Kim Griffin were the stars on that team.  Paul was a decent player in the NBA for
7-8 years.

See another unbelievable finish here:

Honestly, what's up with Chicago State's uniforms? Their names are under the numbers on the back in a white block, sort of like brand advertising on a European soccer jersey. Very weird. But what a crazy finish!

novelty of novelties..........I saw highlights of this guy on the local Lansing sports last night.  Hilarious, you have to see it to believe it.  I've never seen a -1" vertical jump before........or anyone who can throw a ball down to a basket from 15 feet either.

Saw on another board that Andy Venema (from Tri-Unity) is going to be transferring from Cornerstone.  Has anyone heard about this and if so where is he transferring too?  Would it be to a MIAA school such as Calvin or Hope?
