Yes, they will be playing NCAA D3.  The arena is going to be next to the football stadium, on the west side of the parking lot for the Merillat Center.  Sac, I think we're trying to catch up to Olivet in Canadian students.  I don't know if this was true when you were golfing at Hope, but when I played at Adrian, it seemed like their whole roster was from Ontario.

They are also starting a women's team and... get this: intercollegiate synchronized skating  :o. Apparently an up and coming collegiate sport???

Yep they had a couple Canadians and couple Yoopers..........oddest mix of players, but they sure could play.

Their current roster doesn't disappoint with 5 Ontarioites and 2 from the UP.

Isn't there something going up on the north side of the parking lot for the Merillat as well?  Seems I remember some construction over there this winter...

Ol' Mo' loved to recruit north of the Ambassador, I think he still does.

When will Hope and Calvin announce varsity hockey teams? I'm not sure how long they'll like having two of the top teams in club hockey, while Adrian starts to build its varsity program.

Laughable that the highlight of the '96 game was getting a K fan kicked out of the Dow.

Well, I must admit I'm a little confused.  The north side of the Merillat parking lot is the Merillat Center.  I believe there are plans in the near future to add a pool to the Merillat Center on the grassy strip between the existing building and the parking lot, but nothing more than that and some landscaping immediately north of the facility.  To the northwest of the Merillat Center, on the old football practice fields/soccer fields/open space near 223, they are planning to add a track, a new baseball stadium, and to renovate the existing softball field.

The highlight was Joel... as he was the whole tournament, especially against Rowan. But for me personally, getting the drunk tossed by the Holland cop was very special!  ;) And yeah... I laughed; still do!  :D

It is amazing how much they are doing so quickly... Kudos to the Adrain administration for taking on and so far successfully navigating such a huge undertaking.

My bad -- looks like I was turned around.  What seemed "north" to me at the time is actually west.  Thanks for the clarification!

Civic, don't be too hard on yourself.  Those orange-tinted glasses you wear are known to cause disorientation.   ;) :D :)

Ah, but what a blissful disorientation it is!   :D  Especially when accompanied by the finest condiments in d3...   ;)

Womens synchronized ice skating? ??? :o ???  I have never heard of such a thing anywhere!!! Yet, alone, as a competitive sport! Odd!
Tribes of primitve hunters, with rhinestone codpieces rampant, should build pyramids of Chevy engines covered in butterscotch syrup to exalt the diastolic, ineffable, scintillated and cacophonous salamander of truth which slimes and distracts from each and every orifice of your holy refrigerator.

I hypothesize it's designed to keep synchronized swimmers in shape during the offseason.....
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

The word is that IWU will open next season at the Albion tourney.  Does anyone know the identity of the other participants?  (Albion's website still has the 2006-07 schedule posted.)
