Even the exempt tournaments are very much the same.  To the best of my knowledge they count for your overall record but the tourament as a whole only counts as one game against your maximum games played count.

Unlike scrimmages and exhibitions, which, like all preseason activities, do not count on the W-L record.

First day of practice is just over a month away.  8)

Now, is that pre-season practices or pre-conference practices.  Or could it be non-pre-season practices or pre-conference-non practices. :-\ :P

Maybe just practices. ;)

You could just type 'N' and then bang your fist on the keyboard to bring up a slew of random letters if it'll make it easier to type that. I'll get the gist of it. ;)

CCM -- You have inadvertantly stepped in a pile of pooh that GS likes to remind us of each year.  Feel free to ignore it.  It's really not directed at you at all, and once you've been around for a few more years you'll grow fond of the annual reminder, however banal.   ;)

Yep. Consider me the Posting Up equivalent of your neighbor who asks you every winter why you still have your Christmas lights up on January 20th. ;)

You're obviously not from Michigan - around here that reminder usually comes around Memorial Day   ;)

Similar to how my friends and I type Doug Mientkiewicz's name on IM.

Doug Mipgsoenpsouevobhohz ... or something like that.

Ours is still up (though on the back patio) - it turned such a beautiful rust color, and hardly dropped any needles, we couldn't bear composting it!

FWIW:  :)  Not really a b-ball topic, but I notice lots of fall sports activity between MIAA teams and our friends down in OH.  For example the Volleyball border battle @ Witt., and Calvin/OAC teams at ONU in men's soccer.  If it works for these sports I (for one) would really like to see this type of "pre-conference" Classic format applied to b-ball.

we will all support that one between the ohio schools that would be really nice

Last night my wife and I were driving home and we passed a house with two shrubs out front, its Christmas lights shining brightly. My wife exclaimed "They've got their Christmas lights on!" She was totally mystified by my response: "For that guy's sake I sure hope he doesn't have Greg Sager for a neighbor." ;)
