Re. Hope's recruiting ... I think if you're a true point guard, which DVS ain't, and good, you still might be able to pry some minutes open as a freshman.

I don't know who decides the karma ratings, but I believe Carl Yastrzemski should have the highest karma rating ever awarded.  Just like my man Earl says"It's all about karma."

I would like a karma explanation as well...

Does anybody know if there are any other players considering tranfsering either to or from Hope?

P.S. I'm new at this, so please bear with me!

Once you have 200 posts to your name, you can give karma or take it away from another poster (the actual terms are applaud and smite)

Gee, that's a QUESTION that is ASKED FREQUENTLY.  I wonder where I might find an answer?  Hmmmmm.

"Karma", hmmm ... nothing like a self-appointed Illuminati pulling the strings behind the scenes to control behavior. Wonder if I'll lose points now?

I think most of us skip the directions to everything DC.

They do have 4 Sr's, there's room on next year's squad.

Hey, how come nobody has noticed yet that He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named has been paroled from Red Dot Penitentiary? This is big news, people. How long can it be now before the MIAA's favorite adipose-laden comedian himself returns to posting here?

Incidentally, "Athletes and Ashabi" is a great name for an intramural team.

Shhhh, I tried it out yesterday just to see if it would work.......I thought about mentioning it yesterday but I kept it to myself.

"Athletetes and Ashabi" brings a whole bunch of visuals doesn't it.......

Brandon Crawford is seriously on a different level than everyone else in the league right now.  I'm not sure that Phillips would be able to do anything close to what Crawford is doing if he wasn't surrounded by so much talent.

Averaging 20 and 10 is ridiculous for a college player.  There is no way that he is not the league MVP this year unless he gets hurt.  If that happens, Albion becomes Alma.

Immink's taking a class this semester. It's slightly tougher than ballroom dancing, but not much.
Don't get caught watching the paint dry.

Was Calvin's A. Draayer really 0 for 18 v. Olivet?!  With no free throws and one rebound while playing twenty-two minutes?

from the box score . . .
                                     FG    3-PT   FT
30 Andy Draayer........ *  0 10   0  8   0  0

Quote from: Carl Yastrzemski on January 19, 2006, 03:27:49 PMTo the best of my knowledge, the 4 in 5 years rule is for all NCAA  academic institutions regardless of level.

NCAA D3 is different from the other NCAA Divisions.

A student has ten full-time semesters to compete in four seasons . . . regardless of age, start date or part-time studies. When it's your nickle you have a bit more to say about your timeline.

Flea Shooter:
Draayer was 0 for 10 from the field, with 3 rebounds in 22 minutes on Wednesday.  Of his 10 misfires, 8 came from behind the arc. ???
He was 0 for 5 against Hope on Saturday. :(
So....he's due to break out. :-\

Flea Shooter:

Draayer was 0 for 10 from the floor against Olivet with 8 of the 10 being 3 point attempts. You don't add the 10 and the 8 in the box to come up with 18 shots. He is 0 for 15 combined in his last 2 games though.

Flea

Thanks ... it didn't make sense to me.

Still 0'fer ... any ideas why?  What's the problem with him?

KnightSlappy

Draayer needs to find his shot.  V-House can make up for his misses against teams such as Olivet but the Knights need Draayer to find the bottom against Albion.

goodknight

Draayer has been suffering the effects of a nagging hamstring injury for some time now.  The physical limitations now appear to be compounded by a loss of confidence in his shot.

Sac, in all this talk about transfers, we neglected to mention another recent D1 transfer into the land of the orange and blue -- Jake "Son of Survivor" Hogeboom.  With Voison and the five this year, that's an eye-popping total of 7 transfers  coming into the Hope program in very recent times.
