Stinger: you may want to purchase a copy of today's GR Press, as Howard Beardsley has a story concerning the Hope team's work with the homeless. I can't find an online link at this time.

You don't want anyone else on this board to purchase it?

I'm not sure why you have singled me out, HC...

There's only two things I hate in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures and the Dutch.

I'm sure it has to do with your love affair with all things Hope...  :P

Thanks to Olivet (and I'm guessing OC_SID), we know have a composite scoreboard to watch (with the live stats from all the games on one board)

http://www.olivetcollege.edu/athletics/miaa/mbb/0120.HTM

There is one for the womens games as well

http://www.olivetcollege.edu/athletics/miaa/wbb/0120.HTM

Does anyone know if this is just a today thing or if it will continue throughout the rest of the season?

Yes, I was the one that created the scoreboards.  ;D  ;D I was sitting at home on a night when both Olivet teams were on the road. I wanted a way to watch the stats from both of our games, so I created a scoreboard viewer to show both teams' livestats. I translated that language into a MIAA men's board and a MIAA women's board. I have been testing and modifying the look for the last week, and was comfortable with the look this week to let Tom Renner know.

First, when you go to these pages, make sure that you have your pop-up blocker turned off. For those that have not figured it out, you can click on the name of the game (such as Olivet at Alma, 3 p.m.) and a new window will open with just the livestats for that game. Or you can click on any of the Quick stats, Individual, Team, etc., and a new window will open with that set of stats for that particular game. I will warn you that for Hope games, you will have to use the right scroll bar to view the stats when you click on the links for the stats in their viewer, so it might be best for you to just click on the top link to view the entire livestats. The page just pulls the topview.htm file from each school's livestats, so it uses the HTML language on that page, and I can not edit the links for the stats. I can only edit the link at the top to open that game's livestats page.

I hope that I did confuse anyone!    :-\

I also have to say thanks to the other MIAA SIDs for their work to get the livestats to work. This scoreboard only works as well as them doing the stats at their particular game.

Finally, I plan to update the scoreboard for each Wednesday and Saturday during conference play.

Absolutely, OC_SID thanks so much for your work and a great idea!

Halftime in Holland and Hope leads 37-30. Both teams are shooting really poorly from beyond the arc and Hope really isn't shooting well at all. Just 30% for the half. That considered its an impressive lead for Hope made that way by a dominant half on the boards as Hope outrebounded Adrian 27-14. Including 13-2 on the offensive end!!!!

Weird game at the Dick today.  Hope up by 7 at the half over Buck's Bulldogs.  Whistles are blowing loudly and often.  Adrian 14 fouls,  but only 6 for Hope.  Hope scores 17 points on free throws but only 7 point difference in score.  Hope outrebounds Adrian, 27 to 14.

Olivet seems to be pulling away from Alma.

Tri-State up by about 7 with still plenty of time left.

edit: Alma has went on a huge run to take the leader with a couple minutes left!
