NWHF:  Sometimes one must get a burr under the saddle to understand how important pain is. :D  I think KVS has the boys attention.

I hope he does... it is the last week of February after all!  ;) :D

16-2 run by Albion has opened things up at Kresge  46-34 Albion

Looks like Albion is pulling away, and this Alma team is not going down without a fight...

Not that I wanted to see the starter work too hard tonight, but it is probably good for Hope to have a bit of a challenge before Friday. Keep 'em on their toes!

Andy Reule with 12 for Albion, thats an underrated kid right there.  He's had a pretty good year.  He seems to come up big at the right moments.

All the scores at this point would indicate the players and coaches all understand the importance of what is happening.  With the possible exception of Tri-State.  Hard to call those 4-5 matchups.    I think we all knew Calvin had the most ot prove tonight, and they haven't disappointed. :)

Only a mild surprise with Adrian/Tri State.  The rest protected home court.

Things happened exactly as I expected tonight although Albion had a tougher game than I was expecting. Big games coming on Friday!

Adrian becomes just the 6th away team to win a first round game.  But its the fourth time the Bulldogs have pulled it off.

Home teams now 51-6 in first round MIAA tournament games.

Hope set a tournament record tonight for fewest turnovers in a game with just 5, this beats the old record of 6 set by Adrian way back in the first round of the first MIAA tournament in 1992.

Despite all the great 3 point shooting at Calvin tonight, all the 3 point shooting records remained safe.
