Have my tickets all set for the weekend as well now. I didn't have trouble getting through to call the Hope ticket office just after 10:00, but hopefully those 700 get gobbled up and then we can go to work on our next section of fans. I have to believe that we will succeed this weekend because that will return balance to my Final Four attendance. In each of my first three trips, the team I went to root for went 1-1 for the weekend (getting 2nd, 2nd, and 3rd). Last year, for the first time the team I went to Salem to root for ended up finishing in 4th. So I am currently 2 games below .500 and the law of averages indicates my team of choice must be going 2-0 this weekend.  ;D

Phoney confidence aside, here's hoping for smooth travel, the loudest crowd, and that the third time is the charm. And hopefully only the correct national anthem sung...

Wow. Hadn't thought of it, really. Interesting topic to raise. There is the issue of what criteria we employ. This team has certainly outperformed my expectations, so in that sense he ought to be a contender. (Not that voters are using my expectations as the baseline, but you get the point.) Based on what I've observed, I think he's done a great job. I like the offensive and defensive sets he's used. I like the substitution patterns (I was never a fan of the 5 for 5 substitutions). I like how hard they play. I like the way he's made adjustments in the game. I like the play-calling out of times-out and in critical situations. It seems to me he has pushed all the right buttons. I don't have enough to compare it to as regards other coaches and teams to make the call, but I'd have to guess he'd be a strong contender.

4-1, I'd say.

He should be a lock if they win the tournament. With that and reaching the milestone 600 wins this season, how could he not?

I would agree that if they win 2 more games, it would put him in the drivers seat.  I think his in-game and halftime adjustments have been really good this year.  Not sure that the 600 wins has anything to do with it, but who knows.

This can be said almost every year, though that doesn't make it inaccurate.

If the award is based on halftime adjustment skills, he's a shoo-in.

to break the tension of the umcoming weekend, has anyone heard of any verbal commitments for MIAA men's teams next year?  I spoke with a Cornerstone parent tonight and he mentioned that Krombeen from Grandville told Coach Elders "no" which seems to open the door for either hope or calvin.  Any others to mention?

I've got my tickets, got transportation arranged, got the hotel booked. Can't wait!

Tniem, DCHN: I have a group of students going, but they're all set with rides. Haven't heard anything from the DC area alumni, but I might know more on Wednesday. Let me know what your travel plans are. We're leaving Reagan National around 9AM.

HopeConvert, my assumption is this was before the email you sent...  DCHN was going to talk to the guy by email and let him know our plans.  We are leaving at noon so work has our bodies in the morning (but not any attention).  Glad to know the semester students will be coming down.

We got our hotel rooms booked as well.  Getting hard to wait.

Any update on ticket sales back in Holland?  Would love to fill it...

Has anyone had experience/success with CSTV? I went to the link on here that advertised live streaming video of final four. I signed up(email/password) and then saw there was a place to pay for a month of live streaming video of games for a. In order to watch the games, do I also have to pay(a mere $14.95), or is signing up for access to the site sufficient??  I could not find a "contact us" icon on their website, so I am asking the masses for any help you can give me. Thanks!!

D3hoops All-Region teams are up.

Congrats to MVH for making the first team, well deserved in my opinion.

Caleb Veldhouse made the second team.

GVW was coach of the year for the GL Region.

Veldhouse was one of only 2 juniors along with the 13 seniors to make the all region team. I'm guessing those votes are often looked at as a way to particularly honor a full career for exiting seniors.

Now it's time to make the case for GVW as the overall coach of the year.

About 5 or 6 of them, I think. I hope you guys can make a ride work with the other guy.

Is it appropriate to ask where people will be staying? We'll be at the Days Inn in Salem.

Hey, in reading this board over the years I feel I recall a couple mentions of a particular "watering-hole" in Salem. Is that correct? Is there a favorite haunt of d3 fans to retire to after Friday night's games?
