yes they do have 5 transfres on the team

Actually it is 6 transfERs on the team

Voison
Hare
Wolfe
Vansolkema
Vanderheide
Partridge

Will probably only see four play tomorrow night, although I know it would be controversial, but I would love out of pure curiousity to see Vansolkema get a couple of minutes once hope builds their token 20 point lead. As nice as that would be just to see if he can still play like he could in his days as a Sailor, I hope that it does not happen this season barring extreme circumstances. DVS can't wait to see you play next year, but I just don't want to see GVW mess with anything right now.

I don't know if any of you Hopesters remember this but back in 1979 a Hope coed named Janet Chandler, working as a night clerk at the Blue Mill Inn, was abducted and murdered. I remember it well and the crime was never solved. Channel 8 reports that the police now have a suspect and the AG's office will have an announcement tomorrow. I hope (the right word here) they will catch the b@#$%&* who did that.

A group of Hope students did a class project on this case a couple years back, I wonder if anything they did helped in the case.

This is some good news.  I was only 9 at the time and certainly had never heard of Hope.  To potentially solve a case 27 years latter is pretty amazing.

I was a student at the time, and Janet was a friend of a friend.  It shook us up pretty badly, to say the least.  At that time there was still some sense of innocence and safety in the world -- this part of the world, anyway.  It would be remarkable for them to have actually caught the perpetrator.  That single incident changed my trust in mankind.  I hope the announcement tomorrow begins to bring closure and peace for her family.

I listened to Mr. HIC's broadcast of the South Christian/Calvin Christian matchup tonight. David Kool scored 38 and in his spare time guarded Matt Veltema holding him to 10. That's impressive. Maybe there is a Mr. Basketball trophy in Kool's future.

I'm guessing a state of Michigan Mr. Basketball wouldn't be heading to Western Michigan University

Could we be referring the posting of the NCAA regional rankings?
Tribes of primitve hunters, with rhinestone codpieces rampant, should build pyramids of Chevy engines covered in butterscotch syrup to exalt the diastolic, ineffable, scintillated and cacophonous salamander of truth which slimes and distracts from each and every orifice of your holy refrigerator.

That's the number I had too.  I hadn't looked closely at the names on the list -- he just passed Scott Benson (my generation).  Ah, how time flies!  8)

Immink is approaching that milestone also... I've tallied him for 946

Well if Phillips gets to Colly Carlson, thats my generation. ;D

Think about the half season he missed last year, you can add another 150 to 200 points and he'd already be in the top 15.

I think this is the "been there, done that" crowd when it comes to the Hope/Calvin rivalry.  We know what to expect and nothing surprises us in these games.  No need to stoke the fires of the oposition with senseless childish remarks and bantering.

...now about that mascot with the neck brace.  ;D

Acutally he gets 38 extra from his season he went down for his 5 year career.

04-5 38
