72-59 Hope  2:50 to go

Can you tell it February anyone?  Good games today eh?

The game of the day in the MIAA isn't  Hope 67 Calvin 46 in the women's tilt.

79-61 Hope wins, much closer than the score would indicate.

Dark Knight

Calvin 71 Olivet 61.

I think the Hope women have an even better chance at a national championship than the men's team.

FINALS (ironically both games ended at exactly the same moment--dueling buzzers on separate radios)

Hope 79-61
Calvin 71-61 (Meckes career high 17)

Sac:  I knew you were good, but last night you mentioned you would be surprised if Olivet were to be with in 10 points of Calvin at the final buzzer, and you hit it exact.  Do you have this kind of ability on stocks per chance??
Have to agree this may be the year for the Hope teams to make a run in the tourney.

Didn't someone ask just the other day where Meckes was... Looks like he showed up for this game... Just another weapon on that "young" (can we really call them baby Knights any more?) Knights team. Yikes!

yeah just got that from the miaa site, thanks!

Dont trust the MIAA website, they have Albion listed as 20-4, and the score from kalamazoo may not be official either!

Meckes really feed off the other/bigger players like Aultman that Calvin had last year.  This year, while it seems he might be struggling, it really is a different style of play, and he can't rely on help taking a defender or two away from the basket thereby freeing him up.  One of the other posters mentioned a day or 2 ago this may just be another example of KVS using players to best of their ability, and every player having a set role.

Well last spring I was told to buy an obscure oil and gas company at $25.......I passed, in November in hit $65.  Still climbing.

On Wed I told FDF at halftime Hope's magic number was 60 points and they'd win.

If only I could make money on MIAA hoops.

Balanced scoring for Hope, ...........VanSolkema played 8 minutes, 4 pts, 2 steals.
