3. having or showing the manners, viewpoints, etc., considered characteristic of unsophisticated inhabitants of a province; rustic; narrow or illiberal; parochial: a provincial point of view.

–noun
6. a person who lives in or comes from the provinces.
7. a person who lacks urban sophistication or broad-mindedness.

I'm looking at the Hope all-time series page right now, FDF, and it does not agree with you:

I love that Hope actually trails the series with the Jackson YMCA.

I'm not sure anyone with an Alma avatar is in any position to judge another school's records.   ;)

But ... but ... they have a great fantastic SID! Right?

It is trailing the BW series 2-0 that hurts the most.

27-15 vs your rival since then eases the pain.

Ending their season 5 straight years is pretty sweet too.

Come on sac and fdf, poking fun about what happened in the year 1912 against a YMCA team is obviously just meant as a joke.

Never like to see FDF bring that up again for 38th time here, though

Here in the MBB page.....Alma is not great, but, of all the schools that have been in the conference for Men's Basketball, Alma is 5th out of 12 in terms of number of Championships.

But don't take the Hope thing the wrong way - well actually go ahead and take it whatever way you like. I don't really care about Hope...

I believe Calvin went to CMU during the Veenstra era and beat them.  I think Dan Roundfield was on that CMU team.  Maybe Old Knight, Good Knight, or Jeff Febus could offer more details.
