Brandon Trefil #4 doing his best William Wallace.

AAAAALLLLLLLLMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice! And allow me to make an introduction:

"Brandon, meet the Alma College weight room.  Weight room, please welcome Brandon.  You'll be best buds before you know it!"

Much agreed. You won't get away with being that little in college...

I continue to be amazed at the number of high schools (and smaller colleges for that matter) who aren't making weightlifting a regular part of practice and offseason work.  Not a knock on this kid--but the way the game has gotten so much more physical, it's really not an option anymore.

Dear IWU-

Even though you just got screwed on the non-shot clock violation, you must play until the whistle.

Dear Hope:
Even though you may have been screwed on a non-shot clock violation, you must play until the whistle and not give up a key offensive rebound....

Sincerely,

Did anyone mention on here a concern about foul trouble, poor FT and 3PT shooting prior to tonight's game?

WOW...A double OT heartbreaker. I'm sure it will be repeated (I'm already doing it) several times, but poor free throw shooting was the big downfall for Hope.

I always want the MIAA to go as far as possible in the NCAA tournament, so I'm not happy about this result, and I'm sorry for Hope fans.

I think only 16 points off turnovers for Hope was huge as well. We usually force more turnovers and turn them into easy baskets.

in all seriousness, I thought the production was really good for a start-up (exception 1: prolonged shot of visiting fans doing basically nothing, after a FT.  Exception to the exception:  it was great last night when they kept showing the very attractive blonde woman from WM)

Thought the commentary was solid, insightful and not at all annoying or biased.  Kinda missed the guy from last night and his inner Bill Rafferty. " Nickel and dimer" never gets old!

Meanwhile, the CCIW folks have to be bouncing off the walls. Wheaton is also through to the sweet 16 and North Central just finished off Wash U in St. Louis. Impressive weekend for that conference.

Lots of praise being thrown around on various boards for Hope's production and announcers. Kudos to all involved!

quick glance at stats and aside from the obvious issues, what stuck out the most was the 6 steals...against a team with truthfully one primary ballhandler.  I guess the foul issues kinda forced them out of taking many risks.

this one hurts................

Snuggs was simply fantastic offensively.  It's been a while since I've seen someone on the floor who knew he couldn't be stopped...from anywhere.  You knew you couldn't stop MM's  mid range game but nate was doing it from deep, off the dribble, jump hooks, turn arounds with glass.  He nearly covered up some pretty subpar/average play from several teammates the past 2 nights.  Gonna be a bitch to cover next year.

Agreed; I wish Calvin could at least put the score/stats on the screen rather than panning to the scoreboard every once in a while.

Congrats to IWU - played hard for 50 minutes and got it done.  Good luck the rest of the way.

Thanks to Hope, especially the seniors for a great year.
