And you know where I stand on Hope and the GVW family... you should know better!!!!!!!

dren - you were quoted by a.m.jr.  and I just quoted his entire post.  I definitely know where you stand on the subject

I just want to clarify that what he quoted me for saying... I said none of!!!  He used the quote function but didn't quote whatever it was I said... everything in that post are his own words!

Gotcha - I went back and looked, and he was trying to quote something devossed said which quoted you -  but apparently he deleted parts of it so it looked like you said it.  My appologies!

Amazing how one gets misquoted, isn't it? And we weren't even trying to set the record for "quotes within a quote" either...

John Rusnak - But isn't talking to the NCAA/Committee like talking to the wall?  "Hello Wall!!!"

Big Yellow Hat (which I am going to assume has gone over one's eyes too)  - To my knowledge the NCAA mandates how tickets are given out.

It's Monday, but all I can think of is the cartoon character Snoopy doing his "Happy Dance" - That's how I'm feeling at the moment, cause "We're Dancin!!"

Tickets for season ticket holders on sale at 10 am Thursday morning at the DeVos.  There are 800 tix available total for Hope...so get there early!

I thought maybe it was a bad dream.  I thought I wasn't seeing well because it was early in the morning.  So I did some work, had a lunch meeting, got back in, did some more work.

I went back to the site to look...

And I still can't believe there are people that made these decisions?!  Maybe they let a group of monkeys loose in a room and had them throw darts.  I can't wait until we're in Salem so I can get these guys on the air and go "What the %*$# were you $%*#$ thinking when you #$%#&$ picked these $$#*#$  teams?!"

John,

I love your energy and enthusiasm, but we'll never get this thig fixed. I have to think, if rather than buisness as usual, if the NCAA tried to find venues in areas that these teams played in (ie. DeVos) that could host large events, and tried to get more seats filled (to make more money) they might consider a bracket more like DI. But again we all know that is a pipe dream. So in the mean time, lets continue to enjoy the Midwest and GL teams rolling to Salem and continue winning the majority of championships.

Hey VG,

K and I still want to join you in Salem (if we make it) Do you think any of the other usual suspects will try to make the trip? We may go on to Charleston to see D and C. Hope to see you in a few weeks!

Count on one new South Carolina resident to be in attendance.  Aside from that, I think we're the only ones rabid enought to make the trip.

Do you mean 800 for season-ticket holders or for all of Hope?  Are you sure you don't mean 1700 (50% of the total venue)?

I think that one of my acquaintances at the Hope luncheon today mentioned Renner saying something about "1450 tickets available to Hope" but I can't confirm that statement to be gospel.

Anyone else notice that on the D3hoops front page it says that the Women's bracket is more balanced and mentions the teams most likely to come out of each bracket. No mention of Hope at all. The girls are getting cheated left and right today.

We must rebel against the committee.

Thanks for the catch. We should include them.

Pat and the D3hoops team is quality. I hereby place my support behind them for taking over from the NCAA committee.

The number I heard at the luncheon was 1460 total for Hope.

I talked to a student at the ticket office.  She said there were 800 available for season tix, faculty and students, and I clarified that was what she meant.  She may have her info confused though.  It seemed like a low number to me too.

My apologies to Dren and DeVossed for not attributing the quote correctly.

I try to enjoy it, but when I think there there are legitimately 2, if not 3 or 4 of the best teams in the country in this region, it makes me so mad that they are all going to face each other so soon.

And let's not forget the teams that didn't even get in.  I'll let Albion slide because they finished third and had a couple of iffy losses, but how does ONU not get in at 21-6 after losing to BW in OT?!

The reality is that both of these teams are better than the majority of the teams in the tournament.  Of course, leaving them out just saves another GL team from potentially getting upset.

The bottom line is that the best teams need to be in the tournament and the best teams need to be spread out so that they all have the best chance of getting to Salem.  They earned that right by being one of the best.
