I will say Hope's not going to be much better or worse than avg at the FT line this year, that just won't improve much.

Sac, I'd wager that, with the return of Steve Wittenbach and Grant Neil, Hope may improve a bit in both 3-point and free throw shooting.

I'll also wager that Hope's "defense" against opponents' free throws will also improve . . . or, as KnightSlappy would surely expect, opponents' free throw shooting will regress to their average.

Agree on Wittenbach, not on Neil.  I do not see Grant's minutes being significant.

Agree that opponent's FT % will not maintain at 82.7%, which will help with the difference.  But, I still would like to see the quantity difference go away also

Hoopdreams, already said it and was quickly de-karmaed -2.  Totally agree and holwerda also.  Never been a factor in his 3 years, unless you are referring to fouls per minute played.  Any thoughts on Chris ray?  Appears he is outside the rotation also.  I always like his baseline jumper and his contributions in short spurts

Covenant's from Lookout Mountain, Ga which is 650 miles away so of course this game is in-region.

d3hoops doesnt list the game as in region.  Who Should we contact to make the correction?  Is there someone better than Mr. Coleman?

Plus, how does one miss such an obviously in-region game like this one?  Michigan<->Georgia...they are practically neighbors!  AND, considering that Lookout Mountain is virtually in Tennessee, Hope and Covenant are really only 1 state apart.

It is in-region, and it was in-region last I checked on the site. Unfortunately, many people have access to change these things and not everyone bothers to inform themselves of the definition of in-region before changing games.

Another "big" game for Garner Small (excuse the pun  ;D ) As the Comets defeated Illinois Tech 95-47.

Small had 19 points and 4 boards in just 16 minutes

If you say anything remotely critical about the team from Holland, watch your karma fly away like GVW's coat tails after a bad call.  In regards to the player in question.....not sure how his health status is and that is probably having some impact on PT.  His offensive game is quite limited, although he did shoot the mid range jumper as well as anyone.  Doesn't stretch the floor, cannot put the floor on the floor and cannot post/score in the paint.  His biggest deficiency is on the other end....to small and "not strong" enough to defend the interior, not quick enough to guard the perimeter.  Hope has gotten much more athletic the past couple of years and cr doesn't fit that mold.

Lawrence Tech falls to 1-11 while Olivet gets to .500 on the season with a 4-4 record.  Live video was sure nice.

Olivet 73 Lawrence Tech 57

Garner Small's line  31 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists.

LT probably played one of their best halves of basketball this year in the first half, Olivet just left too many guys open.  Second half was probably a better reflection of LT's abilities, a pretty ugly half all around.  Garner Small was good again, could have had 40 if not for two stretches of missing 3 or 4 shots in a row.  Dauntrel Hill and Blake Krum also played well, lots of 2-man game with Garner Small between them.  Both teams were a little in love with the long ball with a combined 53 three-point shots, Olivet didn't need to shoot 28 of them but then again that was the shot LT was giving up.

Tech played about 7 or 8 Fr. regularly, very undersized and under weightroomed.
