You have to respect a man who can backtrack out of a double gaffe and turn it into a plug for his show. ;)

Well the show is the reason for the MIAC gaff... we are hoping to have St. Thomas on the show... and Hamline is a constant story line... so I clearly was thinking about those letters while posting... the Albion thing... still no clue how I did that.

Just use my excuse when I mix up Adrian, Albion and Alma ... "too many schools in the conference that begin with A."

I find it easy to keep them apart.  I just think like a working-class Londoner born within the area covered by the sound of Bow bells, i.e., " 'Adrian's Wall, 'Albion's Roof, and 'Alma's Floor."

Sigh. Somehow I'm glad I missed this today.  :-\

Adrian's Daily Telegram about their game with Trine.  Some interesting remarks from White and Co.

One thing that hasn't been pointed out was Adrian fouled Trine on a 3-point shot that allowed them to tie the game in the final seconds.

Some season shooting numbers for Calvin based on box score data:

Close: 305 FGA, .600 eFG%
Mid-range: 332 FGA, .416 eFG%
Three point: 225 FGA, .540 eFG%

Total: 862 FGA, .513 eFG%

Mid-range is anything in the box score noted as a "jumper".

Mid range shot attempts are down 4% over last season and three-point attempts are up 6%.

A humorous and provocative post appears on KnightSlappy's blog today. You might find it fun to read even if you're not a Calvin fan. Something to spice up your evening as you await Saturday's games.

Good work KS.  but.......Hope>Aquinas>Davenport>Embry-Riddle>Rio Grande>Campbell>Gardner Webb>Autin Peay>Moorehead St.>Indiana State>Miami, Fl>Michigan State

You can actually make some SLIAC schools better than lil'bro using Hope's path through their loss to Miss College.

Except for rare exceptions, if you try hard enough you can 'prove' ANY non-winless team better than ANY non-undefeated team!  And if you wanted to stoop to comparative scores, you could probably even do if for winless over undefeated teams! ;D

I think that was pretty much the point.
