Per the Hoopsville Twitter feed, Kevin Vande Streek will be on Hoopsville tonight.

Here's the link: http://www.d3hoops.com/hoopsville/archives/2012-13/feb7

KVS interview starts at the 14 minute mark and runs about 15 minutes.

Happy Calvin Guy

The Massey formula must have been impressed with Calvin's win over Alma.  As of this morning, up two spots to #7 in the country and now showing a decisive 53% probability of driving home on 196 Saturday afternoon with a W.

Illinois knocks off #1 Indiana on a textbook out of bounds play with .9 seconds to go.

I've watched that video a few times... and it didn't seem to me like the play worked exactly as it was written up.

It seemed like Griffey just dove to the basket when he realized that it was wide open. It certainly didn't have the flow of "that's how we drew it up" but maybe I'm wrong, I dunno.

Calvin figures pretty prominently among the national statistics.  As of the last reporting date of Feb 3, Calvin is #1 in rebounding margin, combine that with their ranking in these other categories and its not hard to see why they've been so difficult to beat.

Rebounding Margin
Calvin #1

Scoring Defense
Calvin #10

Scoring Margin
Calvin #4

Field-Goal Percentage Defense
Calvin #3

Personal Fouls Per Game
Calvin #3

Hard to score against, hard to rebound against, and they do it without fouling.

I am wondering if any of you are having difficulty loading the page from this site?  I do not have emoticons, the stars under the poster's name are squares, and things don't line up right on the home page.  I am getting the same results on my Ipad and computer.

The stars are now squares and some of the emoticons don't work.

Actually, none of them work for me now either (had just been two of them)

Squares are the new stars. That's a design change, not a bug.

Things are designed a little differently on the home page, so I'm not sure if what you're seeing is a bug or part of the new design. It looked right in Chrome, Firefox and IE as well as on my Android phone, when I made it live last night. I don't have an iPad to check with however.

As far as emoticons, I tried to fix it for someone else's complaint and made it worse so it's going to have to wait until I get some time this weekend to dig into it more deeply.

I still really miss the "who's logged in" or "online now" (or whatever it was) that used to be at the top of each thread (at least two updates ago).

KS: Maybe this isn't what you are talking about, but a box at the top of each post turns green indicating the person is logged on. At least my 'box' is green like -- and this is similar to what used to indicate who was logged on before. Maybe you are referring to something different?

It used to list (probably at least 2 years ago now) something like "Viewing this thread": Calvinite, KnightSlappy, sac, Kevin Vande Streek, MattNeilYeahBoy32, ziggy, oldknight, and 2 guests.

Preview type thing

Worth the read and not much to argue with here. I'm not surprised considering how well the author recognizes the mark of the beast. With Hope's veterans back replacing shell shocked freshmen, expect a very different game Saturday, and a close one.

Just watching the warm-up act (UM-UW) before the big game....
