Pretty solid bet that Stevens Point hosts next week?

Anyone have a password for Rose-Hulman's portal for archived games?  I'd like to watch the game last night but the site is asking for a password.

I made a last minute decision yesterday to drive to Terre Haute. It was worth spending almost 10 hours in the car to watch about 90 minutes of basketball.

Calvin was very impressive last night.  Their defense was great from the opening tip.  I know people are critical of the KVS system of substituting players but when you see 9 guys play as well as those 9 played last night the criticism is hard to defend.  Those 9 players played with tremendous effort and determination last night. The roles are clearly defined, the players have bought in and it's fun to watch.  Calvin's shooting percentage was unbelievable, but they won this game because they wore down RHIT.

Tom Snikkers played great last night.  He carried Calvin in the early part of the game when it was tight.  Bryan Powell was his normal Bryan Powell self.  You need your seniors to play well and Powell, Snikkers and Rietema are.  Mickey De Vries played his best game last night.  He makes Calvin's defense better when he comes in, and then hitting 15 foot jump shots and looking comfortable doing it is a huge plus.  Mitch Vallie also played very well last night. He played 10 minutes the second half.  He also guarded Strickland and helped limit him to 1-7 in the second half.  Having someone as good as Vallie able to step in for Rietema last night is nice to have.

600 miles and getting home at 1:30 am didn't seem too bad after seeing Calvin play as well as they did.

Per NCAA video guidelines... I don't think this game will be allowed to be viewed. Furthermore, out of respect to Calvin they probably won't release the video to the public (if they are allowed) until Calvin's opponent has gotten the video first.

So should I not be able to watch the IWU/Transylvania game On Demand?

Believe it or not... I don't think so. I will double-check everything... but I know when we do NCAA productions for schools, we have to make the recordings private.

Better watch quick in case it disappears.

Not the answer I wanted, but, an answer.  Thanks

"The worst word in the English language," according to Bobby Knight (interviewed in today's New York Times Magaizine, page 14) "is HOPE." His new book is entitled The Power of Negative Thinking, and the entire interview portrays Knight as pretty unpleasant. Given the related topics of coaching basketball, the last name of the coach being interviewed, and his least favorite word in the English language, I couldn't resist posting a reference to the article.

In all seriousness, my best to the Hope women. I hope they represent the MIAA and are able to play for the championship in Holland. The last few years have been disappointing for me as a follower of the Calvin men's basketball team; this year my disappointment has been with the regional ranking system. Let's hope it's improved next year and that Calvin, Hope, and Adrian are all ranked at some point in the GL region.

Knights!

And the Wash U/Spalding On Demand replay...

Yep... I understand that... and I can't find the wording right now in the NCAA stuff... so maybe they have changed this policy.

Thanks to aljr for getting in his car and providing us with a report from someone who sat courtside. After a tough final two regular season games when he had 11 turnovers against Trine and Olivet, it seems Snikkers has learned the lesson of not forcing action opposing defenses won't allow you take. The last three games Tom's combined stat line has been impressive--44 points on 16-32 shooting, 12 assists and just one turnover in 82 minutes of action. I don't think it's an accident Calvin has won comfortably in each of those games.

Just watched the post game press conference from the Calvin-RHIT game.  RHIT's comment about Calvin's shooting was pretty succinct: "Calvin shoots, the net moves."
