Varsity and JV rosters now posted.

http://www.calvin.edu/sports/mens/basketball/roster.htm

Not much size on JV. I'll bet all your money Brower plays JV as well.

Tyler VanderBrug, JV team, is a sophomore academically.  He made it to the Illinois state finals in the 3 point shooting contest.  His father, Kyle, also played for Calvin.

Kyle was an excellent player, scoring 1130 points for the Knight as a guard in the 1980's. It's nice to see that Tyler tried out and made a JV spot because his younger brother (6'7") would be an excellent catch for next season.

Getting an older brother doesn't always guarantee you'll get the younger brother. And sometimes when you do get the younger brother, you discover he's not as good as the older brother. Just sayin', as the kids say.

From the Chicago Sun-Time over the summer:
QuoteHe's another player in the Class of 2014 who should be drawing a whole lot more attention than he currently has from college coaches, especially from high-level Division III, Division II and NAIA programs.
I'd be willing to take the chance.

And 4 FR on hope varsity too...it's a young man's league this year!

I believe Albion, Adrian and Trine will have 3 Seniors on the roster combined.

Hope's varsity roster is up:

I count three freshmen, and I don't see Wittenbach listed here.
Is 5-9 senior Cody Campbell a transfer, or was he in the Hope program last year?

Only 13 names. Is that the usual for Hope?

Looks like Hope had 16 on the varsity roster last year.  I suspect the roster on the web site is not yet complete.  The roster for the women's team added a player or two after it was first put up.

There was a William Campbell - Sophomore, on the 2011-12 varsity team at Hope from Swartz Creek, could be the same person.

It is the same person and I would also guess (a complete guess) that roster is not yet complete by at least 2.

I will also be really interested to see if Cody Stuive is actually taller than Blackledge and/or Brushwyler.  Stuive was listed as 6-5 last spring on everything I saw.

If Carlson and Campbell were 6-0, Hope would still be 2 inches shorter per man than Calvin.

The roster includes Harrison Blackledge from North Canton Hoover, son of football analyst Todd Blackledge. I assume the Ohio D3 schools were interested in him too so it's interesting that Hope stole him away. I'm curious how that happened.

Here's a good trivia for you.  Name the last Hope varsity player from Ohio.  I do not know that answer since I believe it pre-dates my fandom.

Nice catch for Hope, he had 19.5 ppg as a senior, third team All-Ohio in D1, looks like Wooster was after him and he won scholar athlete awards with a 4.0 gpa.

They kept 2 from last year, Skowronek and Yonov, I'm not familiar with Holmes or Morgan.

There's 14 there now, still no Wittenbach.

Tim Dennison, Mansfield, OH 1985

Another possibility was a transfer by the name of Jon Joffe, 1991, I believe he was from OH
