Mr. Ypsi

Woo Hoo!  UM 80, MSU 75! ;D

Three straight wins over top 10 teams (2 of them on the road) should put Michigan themselves in the top 10 this next week.  They have obviously finally learned how to play without McGary, and I think are a legitimate threat for the FF.

Carthage stays on a roll as they take down IWU tonight.

Wow, after watching UM-MSU, I'll never again complain about MIAA officiating.

Did you not recognize former MIAA ref Lemont Simpson?

Info requested: I rarely miss Calvin's home games, but rarely attend their away games.

I'd like to go to the Albion game on Wednesday, but am wondering about getting tickets (don't want to drive down there and then not get in). Can tickets be purchased at Calvin? If not, can they be ordered online? If not, how early would I need to arrive to be sure to get a ticket? Should I just watch it online? Any other advice?

Thanks!

The most disinterested ticket table in the league.  Albion hasn't had a full house for a game in several years.  Only 1 crowd over 1,000 in the last 3 years.

Part of the matter is I have seen more seating in a middle school gym. It was a far cry from being a full house when I made a visit last year.

--Apparently Calvin has changed their nickname. They're now the Black Knights.

Likely only a problem when they play the Britons:

Well done. I was wondering who would notice first. Hopefully Calvin will draw "first blood" and not call it a draw Wednesday night.

Kalamazoo @ Hope postponed again for tonight - no makeup date set at this point.  Both womens games that were going to be made-up tonight have also been postponed.  Adrian @ Alma is (for now) still on.

Unless, Hope/Kzoo gets played this week we're looking at next week.  Hope goes to Trine Saturday and  Hope hosts Calvin and Albion next week.  A week of Trine/Calvin/Albion/Kzoo in 8 days would not be ideal.

Wait any longer and you risk playing each other twice within a week.  Also not ideal.

Kalamazoo at Hope rescheduled for Next Monday, Feb. 3 at 7:30

Feb 1  at Trine
Feb 3  Kzoo
Feb 5  Calvin
Feb 8  Albion

Really tough week

90 points is the most a Mark White coached team has ever given up at any level.

Mr. Ypsi

An historic event: UM is cancelling classes tomorrow due to the weather forecast!  First time in 36 years years they have cancelled for weather (they cancelled after 9-11) - and I believe only the fourth time ever.

Curious, because they still expect all employees to show up (though asked supervisors to be lenient).  The forecast is a lot less dire than what AA actually got only three weeks ago, but they caught such holy hell for NOT closing then (windchill of -45; tomorrow predicted to be -30), I guess they are running scared. ::)

Anybody know when the Alma Olivet game (postponed from Jan 15) is going to be played?
