I have one question for everyone. Considering Calvin and Hope are Christian schools. Does anyone go to church? Not critizing or anything but I get back from teaching Sunday School and miss like 30 posts.
"I started to look around at the fans and the team and I was sitting in the back, and I looked around and everybody was having a good time and that day, it truly made me realize what Michigan was about. It took me down, it humbled me. It taught me how to be a Michigan man instead of Jason Avant."

In case anyone missed it from today's Grand Rapids Press, "We're a bunch of fighters, and I thought we were going to do it at the end of the game," said Trewhella, a senior. "It's extremely tough to end like this. I think our team deserves better than what we got today."  WOW is all I have to say about that.

When you say 3 or 4 offensive rebounds in a row, did you coun't Caleb's rebound and then mugging as one?

Oh pulllleaaaze if you were at that end of the floor as I was you would have seen a beaurtiful clean strip by Carlson.

Like the clean strip on Voisin on Hope's first possesion?  Oh wait, that was called a foul from the ref on the other side of the play.

the mens team is at witt friday at 8.00

i think the girls play at depauw  friday  so no home games
i love hope  sports all of them are really great to watch

Springfield it is.    ;D

I have good memories, in fact great memories of beating Whitewater and Wittenberg back in 1996.

......and if your lucky like me and have family up I-70 from Springfield.  There is plenty to do.........and free lodging.  ;D

And in turn, I ask Calvin fans not to give the Dutch faithful a hard time when they post next weekend about how the refs in Springfield were so horrible that they cost the Dutchies the sectional...   -devossed

If you lose and complain about the refs, none of Calvin fans will complain about you complaining because we won't be at the game, so we have no proof if you have a right to or not!  ;)

Good job to the fans of both teams.  Not much taunting, aside from the usual.  I am glad that the Hope fans chose to yell "This is our house" rather than "Your seasons over", like in the past.

They already did yell "seasons over" in the tourney finals at Calvin.  It was pretty funny....

It's official, women are at DePauw.  Guess the Hope faithful will have to pack the suitcases.

Good thing Meijers has a sale on cheese this week.  ::)

This should be an outstanding bracket in Springfield.

Please post a note if you are planning on attending.  It would be fun to meet people from this board.

Well, if anyone needs proof that the NCAA schedules games without regard to size of crowd, you only need to look at this year's tournament.

Regional hosted by Witt...avg. attendance 1500, Hope....3400
Women regional hosted by DePauw...800,  Hope would have done much better at a sectional.

sac

The NCAA doesn't seem to care how much money they make from the D3 tourney........only how much they spend.

I think the Sectional at Witt will draw a good crowd.  Hope should sell its 500 pretty easily.  Transylvania I have no idea.  Miss Coll.  won't bring many but maybe more than last year in Albion.

Witt doesn't draw as well as you'd think they would with their history, its been a mystery to me.  Obviously if Hope wins Friday, tickets for Saturday will be plentifull.

Pat just posted off the main page in the hosting sectionals part this quote...

It's a little more complicated than that. Central location is also important. There are a lot of factors that are considered but I must say I'm slightly surprised at the selection of Wittenberg.

Personally, I expected it to be witt bc it is the central location...And the fact that Witt rolled into this round and Hope did not....mind you we played one of the better teams in all of DIII to get there.

And also....the MIAA gets NO RESPECT from the NCAA
