The MIAA has postponed all games for tomorrow night. They are now rescheduled to Thursday night instead. I see that Albion has also cancelled class for tomorrow. Olivet, on the other hand, will be open for class tomorrow.

Mr. Ypsi

U of Michigan prides themselves on almost never closing (and was one of VERY few Michigan schools not to close yesterday; they've only closed 2 or 3 times since 1978).  Yet they have already announced closing both tomorrow AND Thursday (I haven't seen anyone else announce a closing on Thursday yet).  U of M students initiated a petition for them to be more sensitive about severe weather after they stayed open yesterday - it got 6,500+ signatures in less than 24 hours.  Maybe U of M administrators are educable after all! ;)

Nah.

Yeah, you're probably right.  But if not educable, maybe at least trainable? ;)

Had to get Dave to one of these eventually. And my last game in the Rivalry was played in the Holland Civic Center ... so, yeah, it was time for me, too. Kudos to Alan Babbitt, the Hope SID, for putting the bug in our ears early and making it easier for us to come out.

Can. Not. Wait.

And Pat is right, Alan Babbitt put this in Pat and my ears early enough for both Pat and I to make arrangements. I am missing only my third game, I think, in 24 seasons of PA announcing at my alma mater to be at Hope/Calvin 200. I am just thankful those there understand (saves them some money as well LOL).

I never know how to address dignitaries in person. Is it your 'highness' or 'your grace'? And do we have to kneel or is a low bow sufficient?

His Eminence? His Excellency?

Is it still appropriate to kiss the ring?

If we use the wrong term in addressing them will the weasels come after us - or is that only reserved for infringements on The BeltTM

Glad you are both coming - going to be a fabulous atmosphere for sure.

A single brief lick of the dignitary's shoe is the proper d3hoops.com protocol. (Of course, sac is excepted by virtue of his yellow blazer.) My understanding is that Pat and Dave will flip a coin at the DeVos gate to determine which one gets his shoes shined first.
