I think Guru and Shmuru, probably. (Guru? Shmuru!)

So are the Guru and Shmuru making any predictions, or playing it safe by not making any "enemies"?

Random thought, but I have noticed a lot of offshore sportsbooks putting odds up to some non D1 games more frequently in the last year or two, mainly in football, to bet on.  I even saw 5dimes have odds on the regular season GVSU vs Ferris St football game this past fall. .  It would be cool (IMO) if they ever put up odds on Calvin vs Hope some day.

I have 4 reserved seats available for today's game.  If interested please send me a pm.

I don't have much to offer for our little game today, I think most of what I said on twitter a few weeks ago still applies.  Still a hard game for Hope to win, hopefully being at home gives them a little kick in the pants today.  Winner stays somewhat within touch of the MIAA leaders, but mostly I think they'll gain the upper hand for hosting the 4/5 game which could very well be another Hope v Calvin game.

If I counted right this is the 83rd of the 200 that I've cared about and I must be close to or over attending 50 of them by now.  Still a lot of gut wrenching fun.

Also, I think its pretty cool that two guys who have no affiliation to either school would hop on a plane to catch this game.  If you see Pat or Dave milling around DeVos today say hello and welcome them to West Michigan and thank them for everything they've done to promote D3 athletics.

Probably getting too close to game time for this to be of use, but our pregame studio setup is in the corner by the benches on what I think of as the volleyball side of the building.

Calvin gave hope a few opportunities at the end but in the end the better team won.  Congrats Knights!  Also, that was not a foul on Calvin at the end so lets not bring that up.

That was my first rivalry game in a while and it turns out it's still a lot of fun!  :D

Yeah the announcer was being a weirdo throughout most of the game.  Wasn't even that close to being a foul.

Here's a good view of it:

What a crazy day!  Kalamazoo just beat Olivet on a three-point shot with one second left, and Michigan State  lost at home to Indiana in overtime because they just could not make free throws.  Olivet can look so good at times and so bad at others.

Watched the end of the Kazoo win and still had the video on during the handshake line. Looks like a major scuffle started off camera to the left, as eventually multiple players from both teams are seen back on screen posturing as if they are ready to fight. Looks like order was restored before any punches were thrown.
