With the game about to start there are about 100 people in MTI. I know this because I could quickly count them. It's absurd that the MIAA went with 1/3/5/7 game times.

I agree. If one school hosts both guys and girls, they really should try to go Tue/Thr/Sat, Wed/Fri/Sat
I believe that in the case of a school winning the conference championship in both men's and women's basketball that the school should decide which team they want to host and the second place team hosts the tournament that isn't chosen.

Does anyone have a link to video of the final shot?

Nice win for Trine this afternoon.  Calvin couldn't get the shots to fall and Trine was an all around better team.

Table is set for a great championship game tomorrow.

Off the top of my head it's the first time in league history since the conference tourney started (1992) in which neither Calvin or Hope had at least a share of the regular season title OR the league tourney title in the same season .

First time since 1999 that neither Hope or Calvin will be in the NCAA tournament. The MIAA tournament champion that year was Defiance - the last non Michigan MIAA team to make the national tournament.

Couple pretty good games in Angola today.   Either game could have gone either way really.

Obviously the finish of the Albion/Olivet game was amazing.  Jamezelle Davis actually had two buzzer beaters today, he also hit a long 3 to end the first half.  Last one was a miracle obviously.  Great fight back from Olivet, what a tough way to "win", only to lose.  Personsl milestone today, I was at Albion when Michael Thomas hit a half court shot to beat John Carroll in 2005.  A similar shot that bounced high off the rim and dropped at the buzzer, only then I looked down after the ball hit the rim only to look up and wonder why Albion's fans were celebrating around me.  I saw every bounce of this one.

Trine sort of wore Calvin out maybe, pretty physical contest with the odd twist of some weak fouls.  Cummings was the difference, Calvin just had a tough time keeping him at bay and he had a nice touch around the rim today.  Winters showed why he's a very underrated player turning probably 4 likely Calvin rebounds into Trine possessions.  Perimeter defense was pretty good by both teams.  Though I think Calvin had better chances but missed too many open looks.

Albion/Trine should be a good one.  If I'm not mistaken Albion led the regular season meetings by 14 and 9 at points in those games and lost both.  The second ending in overtime in Angola two weeks ago.  Should be interesting at least.

So I see some of the Olivet Assistant Coaches are complaining on the Twitterverse about getting the shot off in 2.8 seconds. Do you all think the clock started on time? I tried slowing down the video, and maybe! it started a tenth of second late.

Video again for reference. You can slow it down to see if the clock starts when Davis touches the ball. Hard to say

It actually looks like it starts early to me.

I stop watched it on my phone, I get 2.5 seconds just about every time from first touch to shot.

Clock started fine. I saw a low-angle phone video and the clock starts the moment he touches the ball. No one can use the graphic on the broadcast because it wasn't getting the data clean and thus jumps.

Sorry to Olivet, but it was a clean play.
