Pat is a standup guy!

I can tell you want karma privileges back badly, but please, and this is to everyone: Karma responsibly. Thank you.

Thanks again Pat.  With all due respect, what does "Karma responsibly" mean?  While my Karma levels don't really bother me one way or another, I do love the feeling of giving positive karma to posters from my school and to posts that are spot on, but I also love smiting those that oppose my views.  When it's all said and done, does it really matter how much + or - Karma one has?

If it doesn't matter, then why bother applauding or smiting?

Is it appropriate for a person to repeatedly give negative karma to someone who hasn't posted anything new since the last time that person smited them?

And we have a Hope roster (well kind of).  This appears to be a combined varsity and JV Roster.  I would assume the first 14 guys are the varsity (Clayton Dykhouse - Preston Granger) and the rest are JV.  Looks like every recruit we knew about is on this list (except TJ McKenzie who is currently playing football - may have to wait until FB is over to know where he lands).

If my assumption is true - 14 guys on varsity (room to add TJ after football maybe?).  11 returning guys from last year (Bill Woodhams who was on both varsity and JV last year is the only non-returning player) plus:

- Jeff Bikus - 6-5 So, Hawthorn Woods IL - played JV last year and practiced/traveled with the varsity near the end of the year
- Clayton Dykhouse - 5-11 Fr, Zeeland MI
- Evan Thomas - 6-4 Fr, Okemos MI

https://athletics.hope.edu/sports/mbkb/2019-20/roster

The last 10 guys listed (presumably JV) are from all over the US - 3 from MI, 2 from FL, 2 from IL, 1 each from KY, NY, CA

Hope sorting out its 10 guard rotation will be interesting.

I'm really hoping Clayton and Evan are solid contributors right away. Freshmen rarely are, but this team has holes and both have the skill set to fill them, if the leap from HS to D3 isn't too rough on them.

I do think Dykhouse and Thomas will see good chunks of minutes.  Dykhouse might end up being the starting PG at some point if not right away (pure speculation on my part).  Thomas will see the floor a lot if his high school defense translates to the college level, for sure in the mix at the 3 spot.

Now that jerseys have been assigned, looks like we now have a "modified" Hope roster, which includes a few more FR on the varsity than initially thought?

I wish there was a way that I could see how many of my smites came from a handful of calvin posters. My guess is a VERY high percentage.
Let's go Dutchmen!

It's also 18 guys total.  Some of the numbers have more than 1 person listed (4 of the FR) and those same 4 are also listed on the JV roster.  My take is that the final roster spots and decisions are not yet made.

There are no video links on either the Calvin site or the Northwood site, so I'm guessing it's a no. But if it is it will probably be here: https://team1sports.com/northwooduniversity/

Kalamazoo 56 // WMU 76

https://hornets.kzoo.edu/sports/mbkb/2019-20/boxscores/20191102_qkkr.xml?view=boxscore

Neither team streamed the game on their website, but the play-by-play says that Kzoo was within 10 with about 15 minutes left in the second half before WMU extended the lead to 20 within about five minutes. Probably the closest final score in this exhibition in a while.

Calvin's Men's BB page reports the Knights beat Northwood 76-72.

Is it appropriate for a person to repeatedly give positive karma to someone who hasn't posted anything new since the last time that person applauded them?

Maybe by being a grown-up and a kind human being. Is that a challenge here?
