I imagine Ty is former Alma basketball player Matt Lotterman's son.   Would have played early/mid 90's with Todd Bloomquist I think.

As usual I know nothing about these players coming in. Always appreciate some insight from anyone who has seen or knows anything about any of the recruits.

So far it appears the MIAA incoming class of '21 is very guard heavy.  Only 3 guys 6'5 or taller out of 29 listed on FDF's grid.

C'mon Brooks...get some bigs to commit to Trine!  ;D

Non-basketball, but hey it was a national tournament:

Hope Hockey won the ACHA Division 3 National Championship last night with a 3-0 win over Arkansas.  Hope got into the finals by beating Michigan 4-3 in OT (after Hope trailed 3-0 heading into the 3rd period).  Games were played at Paterson Ice Center in GR.

Hope's second natty after also winning in 2018.

Not to one up my own alma mater, but Adrian won the ACHA Division 1 National Championship too.

I wish Hope would pony up and play NCAA Hockey like Adrian and Trine. They have the funds and clearly have developed a hockey culture, albeit at the club level.

I can speak a little bit on the 3 Hope recruits.

Gabe is a 6'9" starter and a State Champion. With that info alone, you'd think Hope got a superstar. But Gabe is almost an offensive liability and really wasn't a factor in Catholic Central's offense. He pulled down a bunch of rebounds, but needs work and time to develop his offensive game. Reminds me a lot of Ryan Gamm.

Kinda opposite end of the spectrum, Brandon is the best player on a very bad team. Unsure how that plays out in D3.

Sam is probably the one of the three that's closest to contributing right away. A true PG, he should have opportunities to come off the bench and develop his game and fill in nicely when Clayton and Tyler graduate.
