Good summary, sac. I also view Hope as a clear favorite entering next season. Will be interesting to see how that shakes out because I feel like we had clear favorites in Trine and Albion respectively the past two seasons but others jumped up to deny those repeats.

The fifth year thing is tough because there are so many factors that go into it that vary by individual and institution. Someone can correct me if I missed something but it looks like Adrian, Calvin and Trine are the MIAA schools with graduate programs that could interest fifth year guys. Alma also has a masters program but looks like that is limited to an MFA in creative writing.

There are plenty of regular students who end up on a "five year plan" for undergrad but I'm not sure if there are NCAA restrictions on that route that can get messy with eligibility and progress toward your degree. At the very least it can get very expensive.

I don't know of any announcement or rumors of guys who will be transferring to Calvin for a fifth year but I wouldn't be surprised if that does happen given what we saw this year and the playing time that will be available.

TUAngola

Second ranked Central Noble HS falls in the Indiana Class 2A State Boys Championship game to Our Lady of Providence HS 62-49.  Providence got off to a 25-9 lead after a hot shooting 1st qtr. and CN never recovered.

Future Trine teammates finished their HS careers today for CN.  Logan Gard finished with 10 pts and 8 reb, and Ryan Schroeder had 12 pts, 4 reb and 4 assists.  Wisconsin recruit Connor Essegian had a rough day shooting but finished with 18 pts for CN, which is 10 points below his 28 ppg average.

Interesting that in today's 4 Indiana HS State Boys Finals they all pit a public school vs. a private school in each game.  So far it's public schools 1 win and private schools 1 win with 2 more games to go.

A couple of long search efforts at Calvin University culminated today. One was for the institution's presidency -- with the search committee unanimously recommending Dr. Wiebe Boer, a Nigerian-born academic and entrepreneur who has spent most of his life on the African continent serving with NGOs and business development. The other pursuit, conducted tirelessly by Bill Sall, will be announced shortly. #themaninthemiddle #postwiththemost

At one point a lot of teams were looking at him because of his size, but did he ever get offers beyond Calvin, Cornerstone, and Trinity?
