7) Wooster
8) UW-Platteville
10) Randolph-Macon

Been meaning to go look at the attendance numbers and your post reminded me +k.  I prefer to look at the Avg Attendance since using total can skew things when one team has 19 home games (Marietta) and another has 12 (Anderson)

Top 11 for Avg Attendance:

1. Hope (1735)
2. Anderson (1104)
3. IWU (1047)
4. Marietta (1008)
5. UMass Dartmouth (854)
6. Wooster (837)
7. Trine (785)
8. Roanoke (745)
9. Ranolph-Macon (742)
10. UW Platteville (730)
11. Calvin (707)

Some terrible news to pass along, Alma grad Ty Edwards has passed away.

That 2015-16 Alma team was such a fun team to watch. Nikodemski and DJ Beckman certainly got the well deserved love for their success that season, but the depth of having Jason Beckman, Tyler Edwards, and Kevin Gamble all coming off the bench is what carried them to the Sweet 16.

I'm sorry to hear about this loss.
Let's go Dutchmen!

Calvin has one more incoming freshman recruit to go with the list of nine other frosh and the lone transfer from U of Indianapolis. He's Zach Gritters, a "gritty" 6-2 guard from GR Covenant Christian High School. According to Coach Sall, Zach "beings plenty of competitive fire to the table" and had a strong senior season, earning All-State recognition.

I'm really interested to see how this class actually shakes out. It seems like they all have legitimate next level potential but that sets up a major logjam, even with a lot to replace from last season.

Just reviewing schedules, comparing non-con opponents, looking for an Alma schedule, etc.  Noticed a change in the Hope schedule.  I think I previously saw UWSP schduled, but now they are not and I see 2 games (home & away) with Rockford just 10 days apart.  Anyone know any details??  Hoping this is a website glitch

The Hope schedule is correct.  Hope will play Rockford twice in 10 days home and away and will not play Stevens Point.

It's a shame to have to play the same team twice, but hey Rockford was 15-9 last year and UWSP was 4-17.  At least its 11 games against D3 teams!

In terms of SOS its probably a pretty good deal for Hope (and Rockford).  Rockford lost a couple leading Sr's and can return 5 of their top 9 minutes guys, so a mixed bag, seemed to be generally young as a total squad.  I'd still expect them to be somewhere over .500 at seasons end.   Essentially Hope adds a road game against a potential +.500 or better opponent and drops a home game vs an almost guaranteed under .500 team.  Its a pretty big potential swing in SOS.

UWSP is probably going to struggle in the WIAC again this year.   I enjoy playing Stevens Point its always a good test even when you get smacked around a bit.

Hope will have two midweek longish bus rides games at Rockford and Hanover.  Very unusual.

Disappointed. I was looking forward to seeing the Hope/Calvin road double dip.

As a Pointer fan, this whole post hurts my feelings but is probably true. Tough to read a team would rather play Rockford than Point when it comes to SOS, but recently, I can understand that.

I'm thinking Point should be much better this year with a ton of new talent coming in, including some transfers and other guys that had D2 scholarship offers but chose Point. It's not to say Point will return to winning ways in one year, but hopefully be a lot better than last year's 4-17 record and 0-fer in conference play. Rockford didn't play any regionally ranked opponents while Point was...1-13. ouch.

I still have a hard time understanding SOS and all that, but Point's SOS was .598 and their division NC was .588. Rockford's was .473 and .372. Obviously, the winning %s were miles apart.

Well I'd rather Hope's schedule was tied more closely to the WIAC.  The "Opponents-opponents" part of SOS might take a little hit.
