Oh no. Two more days without any games to talk about. I can't live like this. At least next week will be exciting. But in an effort for all things Orange and Blue to win. GO BEARS!!!

These are words I never thought I'd write: Sac's decision to go to Ohio is looking better by the minute.

You folks need to do something about that Lake up there.  Down here, it's a beautiful, clear, cold day.

Now that you're all free tonight, you might want to check out #11 Wittenberg at #2 Wooster:

Click here for information on free, live video feed from Wooster

Click here for information on Wooster's audio broadcast and live stats

Click here for information on Wittenberg's audio broadcast

Both Witt and Woo provide professional radio broadcasts, with no mention of Hudsonville Ice Cream.

If we get there on time, sac and I will be right in front of the video camera, so you could enjoy the backs of our heads while watching the video feed. :)

David,

Thanks for the info - I'm betting we'll all be a bit stir crazy by tip-off

You know, I think the weather in Adrian is agreeable.  I'm sure the Bulldogs would be happy to host if Calvin was willing to come down to Lenawee County again!

It is, of course, possible that being stupid is part of human nature. In any case, I don't know a lofty concept like human nature has much to do with it. In any case, it's a picayune point.

I was worried Calvin might be trying to get the drop on Hope (had the same thought FDF did). It almost seems as if there should be a league-wide policy on this rather than leaving it up to the host schools.

I lived in OH for ten years. The weather is never nice there.  :) In my experience, West Michigan is much nicer weather-wise than Northeast OH. Not as much snow, but the gray, rainy days goes on forever. The Department of Defense once determined that Akron was the cloudiest city in America. I have no problems believing that.

No basketball today. :'( Guess it frees up more time to shovel.

HAHA.

And in case anyone wondered it is a beautiful sunny day in DC. But don't worry they laid down an inch of salt on the roads yesterday just in case we got the "flurries" that were forecasted for this weekend. You can never be to safe. Its amazing how no one can drive in snow out here.

Any of you catch Jeff Garlin (Curb your Enthusiasm) on The Herd this week? He's a Chicago native, and Bears superfan. We'll until this week.  He absolutely laid into the Bears organization and Lovie Smith for bringing along Tank Johnson. It was great.

That always amazed me also when I lived out there. A dusting of snow and the city shut down and people were sliding all over the place. Since I lived there during part of Reagan's second term, there was frequently talk about managing the city in case of a nuclear attack. I used to chuckle at that, because if that is how the city deals with the threat of snow, I can't imagine it could deal very well with a nuclear attack. Then again, Marion Barry was mayor at the time, and his street was the only one that would get plowed, especially when Barry needed to get plowed himself.

As I sit a mere 12 miles from Kresge I don't find the weather terribly disagreable for travel.  Granted I was nearly blown over on my way to my car and had little feeling in my extremities after thirty seconds in the wind, but that couldn't keep me from basketball!  These mamby pamby people these days, whats a little frostbite when basketball is to be played?  Guess I'll have to be content with watching the Spartans play the Buckeyes today.  Really was looking forward to Kresge today.  I can't make the game on Monday as I have a church meeting that night, someone will have to go in my place.

If I cancelled the meeting would the game be considered a religious affair with Hope's ties to the church and Albion's background with the Methodists?  Should I seek absolution if I attend the game?

Hopefully we don't have to talk about that boring 100 point mark discussion for another 2 days.

I know there's a lot of Michigan fans in here.  It sounds like RoJo is backing out of coming to UM?  He's suppose to announce tomorrow at his church on what the deal is.

I don't think it's quite fair to say "RoJo is backing out of coming to UM" because he's never make any commitment to UM, or anyone else. It's unlike Keith Nichol who verbally commited to MSU, changed his mind and then decided to go to Oklahoma. Nichol did "back out." Ron Johnson hasn't made any commitment yet so he can't be accused of "backing out."

That possibility was considered but in view of the dearth of outlets in Lenawee County that sell Hudsonville Ice Cream the option was considered unworkable. ;)
