Starting to get excited about the season, especially since we got our season ticket info last night, and know where our seats are.   These seats are good enough we might actually sit in them.   I can't wait to get into DeVos.

Oh, and good fortune smilled on my while shopping the other day.  I have procurred a new pair of orange shorts, since the others retired along with the Civic.

I was all set to send bigtime kudos Pat's way until I came across the post with the "Go Hope" banner scrolling across the screen.   :)  I thought pop-ups were bad!  I guess I can live with it though based on the improvements Pat & Company have added to the site.  Thanks to d3hoops.com for continuing to be such a top-notch resource for all things D3 bball related.

All right, I guess I should quit whining about the changes here and give it a try.   :'(

I'm sure I'll grow to love it, but my poor brain is on change overload right now, so I'm feeling resistant.  The lure of the emoticons may help some.   :P

At any rate, less than 2 months until practices can start.  With that comforting thought to hang onto, and the siren call of the beautiful DeVos, I might just survive.   ;)

Anyone have news on transfers, etc. from our MIAA brothers and sisters? ???

And for good measure, lest some of the bells and whistles of this upgrade go untested, I remain...

Hey FDF,  make sure those shorts are a little longer than Glenn's huh?

Big Ten Football, Premiership Football, La Liga, the sports orgy is upon us!  Thank god.

There's only two things I hate in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures and the Dutch.

Sorry, it took me a second to figure out how to post on this new-fangled technology...

Hey Civic Minded & FDF

Check out the Hope website on the students who are entering HOPE as freshmen with legacies to HOPE.  There's a certain young man with the last name of Slotman that just might be helpful to the HOPE Basketball team in the near future!!!

sac

Is this the young man from Wisconsin who's name appeared in many spring time e-mails.  IF so.....

;D

That would be excellent

hopefan

did some google search and it does appear the above mentioned Slotman (Mark) was a pretty good player from the Sheboygen area  -- made some all conference and all district teams, had nice stats, listed in some places as 6" 8", in others as 6' 10". :D
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

Also saw some other familiar names in the legacy group; ie Vanessa Gugino, Kendra Neil   could either be power forwards like their dads?

Hopefan,

Unless they are REALLY big, you may be on the wrong board!   ;)

Gohope --

Good to know you're still out there.  Got the message that you had seen my buddy, Todd H.   ;D

Yes, I had heard rumor of this "Slotman kid" over the summer.  I can hardly believe it!  Will make games a lot more interesting (as if they weren't all the time).  It does mean we are OLD, though!   :P  We'll have to get together with his folks, don' t you think?  Flashback city.

Oh, and to keep this on-topic, I too have heard that he's really good, or has the potential to be at least.  It will be fun to see what Coach Neil can do with him.

If memory serves correctly (and those moments are getting rarer by the minute) I don't believe that Kendra Neil does the basketball thing.  Competitive cheer was her thing, I think.  No idea about the Gugino girl.

Nice article in the Sentinel today with pictures of the parquet flooring being put down, and a drawing of what the finished floor will look like.  Wow!  It's gonna be awesome! ::)
