Chicago area forecast:

Snow and areas of blowing snow in the morning...then light snow likely in the afternoon. Colder. Snow accumulation 2 to 3 inches. Very windy. Highs in the low to mid 30s. Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts to around 45 mph.

It's very unpleasant in Holland right now (Calvin fans can insert joke here). 196 between Holland and GR was very windy with drifting snow. Please everyone: drive carefully.

Welcome to the dark side, Luke...

Did you ever wonder about the true depths of darkness of the Calvin-Hope rivalry?

Um, wow, speechless...

So Coop passed up on a lucrative acting career to instead serve a small private midwestern college? This is extremely off topic, but the production value of that couldn't help but remind me of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVENWl8uBeg

It may also be a bad idea to possibly re-visit it, but did anyone also notice that one of the videos related to the Griffin video on YouTube showed the kid/flag incident from the game Pt. 3?

Hope evidently has 25 more tickets for sale. They are on sale now at the DeVos box office. You can call them at (616)395-7136.

HopeConvert, you should have a message from me in your message box.

Just got e-mail from one of my co-workers in Chicago, so I asked about the weather.

"Not bad - yesterday we had sleet, rain and then some mild snow this am, but roads are not slippery - should be fine."

Safe travels to all - see you there

Are there any extra tickets floating around out there.  I'm hoping for two (I want my high school junior to see Hope and Calvin).  Otherwise, even one will work  -  I'll try for another somewhere else.  Thanks for any help.  Leave early and keep it safe.

Looking out my window in the near-west suburbs of Chicago and it's pretty windy, but not snowing - roads should be fine, at least once you get around the lake.  See y'all in a few hours.

Pete... email/PM Keith on the NathCon Board... he'd probably appreciate a neutral fan getting the 2 tickets that he got for me that I can't use. :)
Wait, dunks are only worth two points?!?!!!? Why does anyone do them? - diehardfan

Will someone please write a Calvin preview on the multiregional board? A Hope fan is welcome to do it... lots of people wrote previews a for teams they aren't a part of, and you guys have seen Calvin a billion times... if not, a Calvin fan could always save their school from having a Hope fan write it... ;)

How many quarters should I bring?

2 tolls each way on I294 ($1.60 each way)
2 tolls each way on I88 ($1.60 each way)
1 toll to get off at Orchard ($.50, there shouldn't be a toll to get back on there)

So..... $3.70 on the way there and $3.20 on the way home

Big mistake .... do you realize how many Hollanders aren't going to make the trip now?  Or are going to get lost/be late taking side roads and service drives to avoid the tolls?

HAHA, that is so true and I can say that because I am Dutch (Wiersma) and went to Hope.

DC: You're not Dutch--you're Friesian! :o

It is true. I am Frisian. I forget that on this board almost everyone would actually know the difference and what I was talking about if I had said Frisian. Did everyone know that Friesland was the first federal state to acknowledge US independence from the UK in February, 1782!!! (Moreover, the the provinces of Holland and Zeeland resisted until Frisia took the lead).

Hours away from tip finally! I've already given in mentally and decided the first thing I will do after customs in Munich is find an internet cafe. GO HOPE!!!

Thanks, April.  Consider it done.  Surely somebody's gotta unload a couple.

Wait.....I just herd some breaking tollway news....On Friday and saturday, the tolls in Illinois will all be free!    But, you should still bring some extra change ($6.90 worth to be exact) because, I have herd that is a good amount of change to keep the bad luck leprechauns and unicorns away!

As of about an hour ago, Hope still had 23 tickets and nobody was in line.  Not sure how much happened since then, but might be worth checking out if you still want to go.

Thanks thealmascots, but I contacted them earlier and was told they could only issue to tickets to me personally.  I guess there is no way to pay for them over the phone and pick them up at Aurora.  I'm sitting here in the suburbs of Chicago, so I guess that isn't going to work.  Thanks for the info though.

Two times too many, as it turns out.
