Help!!  I think I need an intervention.  Have one computer on the Calvin broadcast, and the Hope stats, and the other on the Hope broadcast, and Calvin stats.  Everything was going okay until I ran over the cat's tail with my chair.  Not to worry, I didn't spill my glass of wine. ;D

Thanks.  It sounds like an average Calvin game.  Not hitting the 3's, poor rebounding, and Calvin trails by 3.
I am going to go out on a limb here and say it is going to be hard for any MIAA team to beat Hope when JR scores 28 points.

From all the scores reported so far only Adrian over Albion hasn't followed most people's forecast.

Can't find the Calvin live stats.  Can't find a score anywhere.   ???  Will somebody please provide some Van Noord news?  Thanks.

One thing that usually works is go to the school name .edu. ie: WWW.Calvin.edu will get you to the live broadcast, and livestats.
Many times you can also go to www.miaa.org to get to the various games, and stats.

Just heard Calvin sold all tickets for tonights game.  Not to bad, first game in the new fieldhouse, and a "on campus" D3  attendance record :)

Major factor 52-36 rebound advantage to Calvin on the boards.  Calvin wins even with bad ft shooting game.  Also need to tweak the lighting etc. to iron out some bugs with the new bldng.

I am sorry for the issues with the livestats tonight ... The laptop that I usually use for livestats had its hard drive crash on Monday ... Our IT department fixed the laptop but when I got to the gym, the wireless connection was not working  ??? ... I had to go back to the old laptop and use my Sprint broadband connection, which is very weak in the gym ... I know that it was frustrating for you as fans, but believe me it was even more frustrating for me.

Thanks for the update OC SID.  Most of us have been around long enough that we remember no live stats.  It also sounded like Calvin had a few kinks with the new building so don't lose any sleep over it. :)

Calvin's livestats are always at http://www.calvin.edu/scoreboard/

The game was sold out, but attendance is listed in the box score as 4395 and the arena was only about 80-90% full -- ??

Mantel is aptly not named Womantel. He had 27 points and 11 rebounds in only 22 minutes. Trine didn't double-team him that much.

Alex Kroll is a Thundering beast at 6-10, 280 lbs.

The knights looked pretty ragged. They have a few things to tune up yet. Free throw shooting of .467 is less than desirable.

The noise level in the arena was pretty high -- it's not one of those big, cavernous places where sound gets lost in the rafters. Well, at any rate, the sound doesn't get lost in the rafters.

The seating arrangement works very well -- students can stand the whole game in the lower bowl without affecting the view from the upper bowl.

The score board is nice, but the players it showed as in seemed rather random, and not connected to the players actually on the floor. Also, no team foul display? ???
