In agreement with several Hope posters Jesse did so many extra little things to make Hope better the last few years the void is larger than most people realize.

While not quite on the same magnitude, Caleb did the same for Calvin.  His numbers this year don't even begin to show how valuable he was.

Everyone should note that Jimmy Bartolatta was the only first teamer on in Hope's half of the regional.  Three of them were in the Wheaton pod!

I am interested to know how often Wheaton has gotten to the Final Four and what place they finished when they did so.

Wheaton has never made the D3 Final Four. Wheaton did win the 1957 NCAA College Division national championship and came in fourth in the College Division Final Four the following season.

Skot:  You raise a good point.   Much depends on whose "all-american" team you are citing.  Who are the people who are doing the voting, and what bias (if any) might they have?

Does anyone know the attendance figures for the men's tournament in Salem?  According to the Holland Sentinel (fwiw), Friday's women's session at De Vos was attended by 1,587, with 1,830 attending on Saturday for the Final.  This makes a total of 3,417 for the two sessions.  Last year the women outdrew the men and I'm wondering what the situation was this year.  I am having trouble finding box-scores of the men's games to find out the attendance.

(As a rank Junior Varsity poster, I have posted this on both the men's and women's boards.  Pardon the duplication.)

I have a box score from the semifinals that has 2,266. I remember looking at the championship box and noting that it had a very similar number; however, I don't know what it is. Don't have it on hand for some reason.

Hey--we have slipped in the poll about the best rivalry.  Duke UNC 54%    Calvin-Hope 26%.  Get in there and buff up those numbers.

I found it interesting watching the Duke/Texas game on Saturday, that the announcers noted that the many UNC fans in Greensboro Coliseum were rooting for Texas rather than their fellow ACC member Duke during the game.

Like many Calvin and Hope posters have commented, conference loyalty is out the window when you're in a nationally ranked rivalry ...even for such obscure schools as Duke and UNC  ;)

I just wish those UNC fans would dispense of their hate crimes and show the love for the good of their conference.  Peace.

I've never been a huge supporter of polls and I really don't understand the reason for a poll after the national tournament.  Can anyone shed some light on why this is done, other than the fact that it is a tradition?  Thanks.
